I adore this clock, and my four kids do as well. Even my husband likes it. I will say that it took a while for me to figure out how to set it properly, as the instructions were written by someone whose first language was not English. I emailed the company twice for help, and they were prompt in response and very polite, but there was still a language gap. In any case, I basically went through some trial and error before figuring out how to set it properly. I also realized that you don't do anything special to stop the clock from chiming during the night. You just have to set it to the correct time, and it will automatically NOT chime from ten PM to 5 AM. It starts up again at 6 AM but isn't jarring, and there is a volume control. It's really cute, now that I've got it set.

1-29-2026 update. The cuckoo has stopped working all on its own. Nothing i can do to fix it. Update: Soooooo, this is now my third time buying the cuckoo clock. The first one got ruined from my autistic nephew, who spun the hands around to watch it pop out and cuckoo. The second one, I took the batteries out to put into our new babies swing. After 2 1/2 months, he outgrew it, so I put the batteries back into the clock. Apparently, running the clock without the cuckoo, breaks the cuckoo. No matter what I did, whenever the hands went around to the hour, you would not even hear any noise of the gears trying to pop out the bird. Therefore, the third cuckoo clock. My husband says I should try a different brand. But this little bird makes me so happy, I just wish it was not so much money. Hopefully I’ve learned all the things not to do, and nothing will happen to this one. First review: There is a youtube video of this cuckoo clock on how to properly set time. Only move the minute hand. Works best if set on the hour or half hour. I absolutely love this. My husband gave it to me for Christmas. It bings me such joy when it cuckoo’s, and he likes to laugh at me. Then in March the minute hand stopped moving. So I replaced the batteries and did the startup procedure again. The minute hand would stop after 10-15 minutes, no matter how many times I restarted it. I was soooooo sad. My husband suggested getting a better brand of batteries, and it works again! Yay!

I have ADHD and work from home, by having this little clock chime every hour (7am-9pm) helps me stay on track and not be late for meetings (I set my 30 seconds early to help with conference calls) I love it, it is so cute and is pretty easy to setup, I know because I lost the directions and had to reset it. I recommend the first time you set it to do it around 1 o’clock in the afternoon, it’s the fastest way to get it right from the initial setup. I love that I can take the pendulum out and make it a table top item (also great for not having to set it on the wall) and I was able to turn down the volume so it doesn’t bother my husband.

I only put 4 stars to acknowledge that it did not come with instructions. However, it is pretty self-explanatory. Ignore all of the reviews saying things like it does not “cuckoo” on the hour or do it the correct amount of times. If you practice common sense and look at a basic video on YouTube of how to set the time on a standard cuckoo clock, you’ll get it. Basically, press the black reset button and set your time using THE MINUTE HAND ONLY. For maximum results, set it on the exact hour or half time (6:30 or 12:00 for example). The very first time I tested it, the bird did not come out and the doors stayed shut. I saw warnings about this that it is just stuck from being packaged or coated when manufactured. I gently opened and closed the door with my finger and have not had it happen again since. I ordered the light blue one and I love it! Cute, practical, brings me joy, and it does it’s job!

I have a KooKoo for $169 that can’t hold a candle to this $45 clock which I purchased for my 3 yr old grandson who loves my “bluebird”. Not only is this little orange and white clock easier to set, the hands are sturdy (the KooKoo’s are flimsy) and the little bird is quite animated, flapping its wings and opening its beak. We will use the clock on a dresser top so I have not installed the pendulum. The clock has a plastic body but, again, is quite sturdy and seamless. I am amazed this doesn’t get better reviews. It keeps time perfectly, so far. The large numbers are easy to read. The clock is perfect for a child’s room, kitchen or casual study. We love it. 18 months later it’s dead and cannot be revived while my KooKoo is alive and well. You get what you pay for. My grandson is devastated as it hung in his room (and, no, it was so high he couldn’t get to it - it just stopped and new batteries didn’t help after 3 tries -a)

Had a feeling a cuckoo clock at this price might be too good to be true....but I went against my better judgement, regretfully. I have never felt SO ripped off. The only thing they got right with this clock is putting the numbers in correct numerical order. So where do I begin... -Heard pieces rattling around inside the moment I pulled it out of the box. (Box was in perfect condition, clearly their cheap, careless packing methods simply do nothing to ensure the cheap plastic parts inside can handle the obvious jostling and rough handling packages obviously endure during international shipping. -Next I read the instructions before doing anything. Wow. It wasted 15 minutes attempting to decipher a dozen or so phrases but it was basically incomprehensible. Hands down the most terribly translated instructions I have ever received with an imported product. Why doesn't this "company" SPEND $20 TO HIRE AN EDITOR who is fluent in the native languages of the countrys to which they ship their garbage products??? -Wait, why do these instructions say "DO NOT TURN NEEDLES BY HAND", when the "professional" video I watched (with the cheesy R & B background music - posted by the "company" KEYPOWER, themselves) DEFINITELY showed a person use their index finger to rotate the clock's hands to set the time for step #4?? Seriously?!? -Per the paper instructions, I insert the batteries and press the "Adjust" button to attempt to set the time, making sure not to use my finger to rotate the hands on the clock to set the time as the previous video instructed. (I can only assume that by "needles" they were referring to the hands on the clock). The motor inside sounds like it's struggling and the hands don't move. I try again. I hear clicking, but the hands still don't move. Attempted a few other things, nothing. -In a last ditch attempt, I decide to use my finger to rotate the minute hand to set the time. I make 1 full rotation and when I passed 12 o'clock, as the hour hand approached the 1, I hear a little click. I guess some little mechanism snapped because the hour hand just slid down to the 6 and is loosely swinging like a pendulum. -I could go on but I've wasted enough time with this SCAM.

Shockingly great simple cuckoo clock. Legit impressed. Bought it for my niece to paint on and be silly with during a cuckoo clock fascination and it has remained intact and paint free due to opening it and my sister and brother in law falling in love with it and having used it now for months. It’s become a staple in their home.

Worked well for almost 2 years. Now it keeps time and the pendulum swings but does not cuckoo. When I push the 'adjust' button the bird comes out and makes cuckoo sounds just fine. But reset and let it go, it does not cuckoo.

Very charming little cuckoo clock. I have it wall mounted and using the pendulum but you can omit the pendulum and use it as a table clock as well. Really appreciate that you can adjust the volume and that the cuckoo sound turns off automatically in the evening 6pm-6am. Requires 3-C size batteries so those should last longer than the AA batteries most clocks use. Solid construction, hope it lasts!

Pretty good. A modern uptake on a traditional theme. Easy to get working. Not sure about the black lettering on that colour background. Otherwise does the job.
