The paint wells are solidy stable and NOT loose like other famous makers of palettes with or without paints. The solid planning that went into the manufacturing of this item and the larger one, are evident from the moment you feel it and see how it easily, yet snugly fits together. I love the underneath finger stabilizer that you put between two fingers and then instantly forget its even there. This make is so perfect to angle or turn your palette to suit your desire to mix the paint closer to you. Hope that makes sense. Usually, I hold it in one direction but then when wishing to use a different area of mixing, instead of taking a change of dripping water, I turn my hand or the angle I'm holding it all. Very versatile and a great buy. If you really want to thrill yourself and be rid of lots of gear, get the larger Portable Painter Palette that comes with two water wells and hold lots of paints. OMG! I absolutely love the portable painters. I have the larger version too. They are perfect for plein air painting and traveling. I use both. They are compact, lightweight and fit perfectly in whatever bag I use. The micro is very sturdy and great for quick paintings on location, or to bring on outdoor adventures.

I love this little painting container is so cute it's such a good quality and a good buy from Amazon. I looked into many different kinds and there was something wrong with each one of them that I think that didn't like but this is absolutely perfect

Love the little travel container. Works perfect for me to take all I need. Make sure to give a vigorous scrubbing to the trays with baking soda and an old toothbrush before using paint or it beads up like heck.

This palette is truly almost perfect. The only additional thing I could want from this palette is a place to hold water (think a water reservoir similar to the whiskey box style paint palettes). But carrying water in addition to the palette isn’t a huge deal. This palette is compact, has plenty of mixing spaces for the size, can hold more than enough paint, and has interchangeability with pan size! The mixing surfaces allow for easy mixing right out of the box without a concern for paint beading up. I’d recommend this palette to anyone who wants a highly portable paint palette without sacrificing mixing space

Not only is this a great design for carrying a 6-color painting kit, but the engineering and manufacturing are also superb. Very high quality materials and well engineered so all of the parts nest together with precision. While it's plastic material, it is a higher quality than most plastic products. Love it.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the little portable paint pallette. It's very well made from a good quality plastic which should resist breakage under most situations. The unit is quite small when closed up but opens into a reasonable size. It should work great if you're traveling or if you just want a simple acrylic paint setup for a quick project at home. Nicely done and of surprisingly high quality.

Yes, I absolutely love this little set and filled it with gouache paints straight away. Cant wait to try it out in the field. There is heaps of palette space for mixing and it is light and feels great in the hand. Comes in a nice little pouch too.
