I love my OnePlus 8, and I'm not ready to replace it... This kit worked great to restore my cracked rear cover to like new condition.

The back glass is great, comes with preplaced adhesive. The tools are dodgy, so don't buy if you don't already have some, and go splurge on some better ifixit tool sets.

Simple to install

Great replacement part but note that the color has a red tone to it as compared to the blue style of the manufacturer part.

It fell 2 ft of my bed onto a thumbtack and shattered the day after replacing the old backing

I pay $18 a month to my wireless provider for insurance on my phone. Filed a claim for the glass on the back of the phone being cracked. They were going to charge my deductable of $99. Instead I purchased this replacement for under$25 which had all tools needed to do it myself. Was so easy and saved myself a little over $70. Will never file a claim again!

Pros: Easy install, took about 15-20 min. Clear back looks super cool and gives a 3 year old phone a brand new look.Con: Product lasted 3 weeks before cracking after being dropped approximately 5 feet onto a soft, fully carpeted, hotel room floor, while also in an OtterBox case. This unacceptable and indicative of very thin, cheap glass used for this product.So while this looks really nice after install, don't ever, EVER, drop the phone on anything.
