Unfilled dummy. Good option.
We ended up returning this grappling BJJ dummy because we made the mistake of not checking the size beforehand. However, when we received it, it was in great condition. The material used for the dummy seems durable and built to last. While it arrived unfilled, the long, sturdy zipper made it much easier to fill, which we appreciated. Even though it wasn’t the right fit for us, we could tell it’s a quality product and would likely be a good choice for someone who needs a reliable training dummy.

Real weight feeling, easy to drill.
The dummy works great for the purpose of keeping those brand new moves fresh that you learned at the dojo, or at training. I bought a cheap gi. The 6 ft tall gi sizes work well with the dummy, if you were looking for something like that. I used a combination of shirts, comforters, sheets and throw blankets that I got from a thrift store. Seemed to work pretty well and it was relatively cheap. Go for the king sizes, then cut the blankets into strips when filling. This is gives the dummy a more balanced feel. I love the thing, especially after having surgery, because I can still go through the motions with an accident from a live person.Hope this helps.

Worth the investment
I purchased the kid-sized version to help train my child in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and it meets the mark for its intended purpose. For this size dummy, I recommend filling with 10-12 pounds of Poly-Fil and using a comb and a lint roller to clean up the fibers that will inevitably get stuck in Velcro (located on the back of the dummy). This type of fill gave the dummy a nice firm feel and plenty of flexibility in the seams, which provides the dummy a good firm feeling while reducing the risk of tears during training. With $25 for the dummy and $40 for the Poly (which was 25% off at my local hobby store), I am happy with the investment. It serves its purpose well. Plus, we had fun stuffing it together!

Still have it finished stuffing it 2 months later ha but great for the money!
Stuffing with unwanted clothes after cutting into strips.. but taking a while :). Pleased with the material and product for the $ though.

Good for the price but not super robust
Its worth the money but its not super strong. Be careful with it and it will last

Need a lot of stuffing
Money well spent, kids love playing n practicing with it. Required slot of stuffing but great quality and kid approved!

Torn within 5 minutes
Was drilling a knee on belly to arm bar and the arm material split, did not make it 5 minutes into drilling. Would recommend saving up to buy a more expensive model to avoid this scenario.

My boys love it 🙌
I have two teenage boys who are both wrestlers, and this has been an awesome gift for them. It does not come prefilled (or with anything to fill it) but we filled it with all of their old stuffed animals, and it has worked out really well. Love that it’s life-size/big enough that my 6 foot tall 16 year old is able to feel like he’s practicing maneuvers with an actual person close to his size.
