Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Build-it-higher Track Riser

Work well with Thomas brand track pieces, less so with off-brands.
These are great, but should come with more of the short track pieces you use as supports. The two Thomas brand pieces that come with the set are ever so slightly thicker than off-brand track, and of the perfect length to match up with many of my grandkids' other accessories. Unfortunately, this length piece is slightly shorter than off-brand 3" track pieces. The added thickness of the Thomas brand track makes for a tighter fit in the plastic pieces, and a more stable trestle.

These risers rock!
These are great for building risers for wooden tracks...especially because you can use various track lengts. I do wish they'd lock in somehow; it's annoying to place tracks in, flip it over and tracks fall out. Overall, they solve a problem, and kids will learn how to set them up themselves. These risers are easily stored because you just disassemble them. Bonus!

Good but not perfect riser stabilizing blocks
Looking for riser stabilizing support blocks for take your trains to a higher level? Good effort and maybe the best on the market but these still need help and adjusting.First, you will need to use straight tracks to stand/set the riser blocks up. This will take away tracks from your train track set. Second, while other track sets will fit the pockets, they don't make a snug fit like the Thomas the train tracks. This means that when a train rides over the riser and connecting track you will have some wobbling. Also note that you only get two Thomas tracks with these risers so you will either need to buy more tracks, an extension set, or use some of your train set's current tracks.Another plus for these riser blocks is that when they connect they lock crossing tracks in place. This is a great feature. We bought these to go with a non Thomas the train set and they work well but I added wooden blocks to the base so that it would not wobble when my son played with it. Since connecting track pieces lock in place, the system stays up with minimal wobbling as the trains travel across the riser blocks and connecting tracks.

Re-sparked sons enthusiasm in Wooden Trains
Works great. The nice thing is my son can make use them with different tracks at different heights. He has been really creative and it re-sparked his interest in trains. If you have a lot of track highly recommended because the kids can do a lot with them.

Okay, I ended up making my own.
Relatively inexpensive compared to other options at about $2/piece, but it a bit brand-specific. The Fisher-Price track seems to be a millimeter or so wider/thicker so when using other brands (Orbrium, Maxim Enterprise, Conductor Carl, Jesse's Toy Box, generics) the short tracks used as side stanchions wobble a bit annoyingly. Usable, they don't take up much space, the lock-in aspect of connecting running tracks is nice, but are not all that strong. Also, while not stackable, one can use longer track to make higher trestles. In the end, I made my own, which are nearly indestructible.

These are very nice but hard to use in a house with carpet
These are very nice but hard to use in a house with carpet. They just aren't as sturdy as they would be on a table or bare floor

I don’t recommend it!
It is not very stable. And it is not properly compatible with basic tracks. I’m not happy with them but my son seems exited so I will keep them even tho I think it is not going to work.

Mismatched quantity
I got this to allow my grandson to build bridges and raised track. However, while the box contains eight track pieces, it includes only two upright pieces. Enough for only one track section. The upright supports for the track are themselves pieces of track, but they are longer than the normal short straight track, and way shorter than the longer straight track. The system has no provision for stacking the pieces to create multiple levels. Not a deal killer in itself as most other sets sold also lack this. The molded track pieces are sturdy and well designed. Track is molded into the pieces with connectors on each end to mate with the wooden track, rather than the track sitting across the piece as in other manufacturers sets. All in all I like the bridge/track pieces better than any others but the lack of sufficient number of uprights, and failure to match already existing pieces in the original track set cripples the useability.

Excellent customer service.
Just what my grandson and I were looking for when we play with our wooden railway! We wanted to add an element of height and this product works perfectly. We received it the next day after ordering and spent several hours adding more interest to our track. I will add my five year old grandson is ASD and passionate about trains.😊

Great to make bridges and hills
My grandson loved this. It was an addition to his existing track and he loves making hills and bridges with it.

Great addition for wooden tracks
My little boy loves building multi level train tracks. He has been improvising with lego and blocks, but now we have these, and the result is a bit sturdier and resilient to his sister!
