Definitely not needed for the pump and hose I bought. The description made it sound like I needed this to connect 2 hoses together. It was also recommended in the “customers bought these together” section. Completely unnecessary. And now it’s past the return window. The 2 hoses that already had connectors on them. It seems made well for whatever application.

A good match for its female companion to form rapid and leakproof connections for my trash pump.

Well made, cleanly cut threads, and a smooth sealing surface. The price was as cheap as a plastic one, so I thought I'd try it, and have no complaints. I only use it for water, though, as fertilizer can corrode aluminum. For a water hose, though, it is great. I have it on a black hose, and the silver color makes the ends of the hose easier to find than a black plastic end would.

I purchased this Quick Connect to go with a 2 inch pvc hose and pump. I saw "frequently bought together"and bought all three. Except the hose doesn't have a quick connect so I will need to buy ANOTHER quick connect or return the hose and buy a hose with quick connect. Frustrating.

For the price these are a much needed add-on for threaded discharge hoses. Would never use a hose without them. (Female end is required for quicker use)

well first it was back order without warning, found out after order was already placed,when item was received, tried to thread it onto my pump and the threads did not match,had to re thread the coupling, and almost cost me a pump housing, poor quality controlduring manufacturing, very poor, appearance says "Dixon" quality says China

I use it on my irrigation pump.
