What a great little radio! It’s so easy to use, the tuning is simple and there is a very responsive volume button. I am pleasantly surprised at how good the sound quality is, even without having to put the aerial up. I just leave it on my kitchen window ledge and switch it on in the morning and sing along to some tunes. It’s so light and portable that I can carry it from room to room with ease as I do the housework. It makes doing horrid jobs easier and brightens my day without having to worry about using mobile battery. The quality is basic but that’s all I wanted and it does the job more than adequately, it’s good value for money too. I also really like the red colour, nice and bright. Would definitely recommend.

December 2025 update: As I promised, here is my update having now used this radio out in the hills whilst wild camping:- 1. The reception was excellent. Far better than I'm the house when I first tried it. 2. Sound quality is good. It's not tiring to listen to like really tinny, cheap transistor radios of old were. It's got some detectable bass as well. Not thumping of course, buts it's registering where bass would be in a track and projecting it. 3. It's so light and compact to carry that taking it with me for the night was a no brainer. It's robust feeling as well for what is essentially and all plastic item. (Apart from the aerial of course). I like this radio that much that I'm going to have to upgrade my review from four to five stars. It's the quality Vs the ridiculously low price. Any questions you have about the radio I'm happy to answer if I can. Cheers. Early impressions are that the sound quality is very good. Clear, not too tinny a sound. Finding stations is a little fiddly as the adjustment wheel hardly needs any movement for some FM stations. AM signal is good as well. I find it's a little hit and miss indoors with the reception and a slight movement in the radio position can lose signal. I've yet to try it when out camping in the hills which is the main reason I got it. I like that I can plug in some wired earbuds as well. I do like to use wired earbuds for listening when seated or kicked back relaxing. It's just about the right size. Any larger and it wouldn't really be suitable for packing light. I'm impressed so far and for a tenner it's unbelievable really. I bought one I their DAB radios for the kitchen as well and that's also pretty good. I've had Grunding, Sony and Roberts portable radios costing much more and this is pretty good in comparison. (Not quite as good, but not a millions miles away). Where the likes of other more well known brands win out is in the quality of reception and ease of tuning. They pip this radio. But again for a tenner it can't be beaten so far. I can recommend it but I will come back with a real world update review over the next few months as I put it through it's paces.

Great little radio, especially given its small size. Good feature that when exactly on a station a green light indicates this. Sound is pretty good too. All together a great purchase.

Great little radio. Bought it to use to keep the cat company when I am away overnight as I cant rely on my amazon product to stay on 24hours. Put the batteries in, very pleased with the sound and range of radio programmes. I really only want Classic FM but she might want a change now and then! I mean its NOT a boom box but the sound is good and loud enough for us oldies if we want to listen to it in the garden or bedroom. I wasnt disappointed, I dont think you will be either.

Brilliant little thing. Bought it to use in an old car which only has an AM radio fitted. As this is original to the car, and over 60 years old, I don't want to alter it but need some form of noise just to stop me constantly listening for rattles. This worked faultlessly straight out of the box and will hopefully be used a lot this summer. No idea about battery life or anything yet but, for a tenner, what could possibly go wrong? :D

As someone who doesn't like to be too reliant on my phone, this radio is an essential piece of equipment for watchung sport or staying connected to the news when outdoors. It has a simple design, which I'm sure will increase its durability in the long run. It rarely struggles to find FM stations and provides a clear signal. The extendable antenna is nice to have but rarely required. The volume is as loud as required and beyond, and the option to plug in ear buds offers a unique use case for watching live sports without distributing other spectators. I can definitely recommend this product. Pros: - Reliable and durable radio - Easy to use with just one switch and two dials - Never struggles to find FM stations - Loud and can use earbuds Cons: - If Inhad to say something,,sometimes the indicator light that tells you when you are tuned to a station can be slightly inaccurate, so I don't rely on it.

good compact size. very light and seems reasonably made for the price. Frequency range is very limited so dont expect to get lots of channels. I use it when i go fishing and its fine to catch up on news and ok for me on my own in a bivvy as its not brilliantly loud. serves my purpose fine. Beyond that i doubt it will suit, but i doubt any of the lower priced models will.

Je m’attendais à un truc moins qualitatif que ça . Petite radio sympa reçu aujourd’hui et essayer. Ça marche vraiment bien, le son est bon et l’antenne capte parfaitement. Petit plus : La dragonne fournit avec , le clip pour la mettre à la ceinture ou sur un sac pendant une marche et la prise jack pour les écouteurs. Elle est légère et très simple à utiliser. Bref je recommande fortement.

Radio un poco más grande que otros parecido a un walkman, en cuanto a la calidad de la sintonización y del sonido estamos satisfechos con ambas, teniendo en cuenta que vivo en Madrid no se puede valorar la capacidad de sintonizar cadenas en pueblos o sitios más complicados pero parece que no tendría problemas en ese sentido vista la calidad del sonido que capta en la ciudad.

Ein schönes kleines Radio. Ideal für unterwegs oder wie bei uns: Für's Badezimmer um morgens die Nachrichten zu hören.... Der Klang ist für den Preis wirklich ok. Wer natürlich auf mehr Bass und Stereo steht, sollte sich ein entsprechendes Gerät kaufen. Toll finde ich die zwei Lichter für "Betrieb" und "perfekt eingestellten Sender". Auf der Frequenz FM ist der Empfang tadellos. Wie gesagt, für unseren Zweck ist dieses Radio völlig ausreichend und außerdem ist ein kleines batteriebetriebenes Radio für Krisenzeiten für jeden Haushalt unabdingbar (kein Strom oder kein Internet und was ist dann ?).
