My just turned three year old has always been very much into books and would sit and be read to for hours if she had it her way. So I wanted to have an electronic read aloud device for her. I was not impressed with the stories on the typical cheaper readers (i.e. the Disney princess and Mickey Mouse ones). The stories are basic and bare bones. If your child is used to reading longer, more well written and detailed stories, those would be a snore. I went with this reader because the stories seemed to be longer and more advanced. I was right - this is perfect for her. The stories are just the right length (done in 4-5 minutes I would say). My daughter takes a while to get the hang of certain electronic toys and this one she figured out very quickly. It is very intuitive and simple to use, and makes a pleasant chime sound when it is time to turn the page. There is an option to do songs and my daughter loves playing these and dancing around. The sound quality can actually be quite loud if you want it. And it is very clear. My only criticisms would be 1) I wish the stories would be read a tad bit slower and 2) I wish the illustrations were more interesting and detailed but these are small factors. Overall this is a GREAT set for kids. I read somewhere that it is for ages 2-5. A two year old would probably be too little to really enjoy this; I would say this is probably ideal for ages 3-6.

Such a great way for kids to listen to songs and stories! Our three year old daughter likes to take this in the car. She sings and dances with the songs at home. She likes reading the books each night. Do wish there were more pictures in the books. But she still enjoys them.

This is our second take along reader and we absolutley love them! They're so easy for kids to use, travel well, the stories amd songs are clear and loud enough for everyone to hear. We ansolutley love these!! They make the best gifts too!

We like these a lot, we also have the DNiel Tiger series. My son likes the stories. The reason I rate it a 4 is that I wish the images were bigger. For example on the 3 little pigs the images are just so small. I believe my son would have more fun if the pictures were bigger.I get it though, they are putting a lot of text in a small book…. But it seems for a Children’s series the pictures would be larger.We love it though in general and my 4 year old son is still wry much engaged with the readers.

My kids love this reading and go along on the books. It was a really big hit in my family. My kids are five and two years old

Got this for my 3 year old niece, and she loved it. Very pleased. Classic stories. Easy to use. And the song option is nice.
