Many dogs enjoy the ability to sniff, roam and wander during their walks. With the KONG Explore, they can do just that. It features a soft grip handle, 24ft color coordinated belt with reflective stitching, and an intuitive brake + lock mechanism that works with you and your dog's natural walking motions. Like all KONG products, you can depend on these retractable leashes for durability and strength walk after walk.

Twenty Four Feet
I’m very happy with the results I’m getting from the Kong dog leashes. They work well and fully retract all the way in. They are easy to lock and unlock when needed and aren’t fussy or hard to operate. Not a lot of hand pressure needed to do so ether. They are a bit on the heavy side but still fully manageable. They are twenty four feet instead of the standard twenty six but it’s just not really noticeable. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Strong enough for big dogs!
I love this leash!!I use my kong explorer to walk my 1 year old 80 lb Czec Sheppard. She runs, tugs, jumps, swims and this leash stands up to all of that abuse with no problem. It has a strong enough retraction that the leash never touches the ground and the break is strong enough to stop her when she is trying to chase geese. This is my second Kong retractable leash and I trust it so much I wouldn't bother to try anything else.(If you have never used a retractable leash you have to know to control your dog when using because with a good running start your dog can tug you to the ground or yank the leash out of your hand. You also have to keep the leash from wrapping around your dogs legs because they can hurt themselves. But if used correctly a retractable leash is the best tool to exercise your dog with out putting to much strain on yourself.)I highly recommend.

Solid leash, but practice tying a bowline knot.
Works very well for our 95 lb Choc Lab.Though he has shortened it by a foot or five when we ignore him... (He chews)Hence the advantage to knowing how to tie a proper bowline - in addition to the fact that it might save your life some day - it's a solid knot that won't slip here. Look it up...

So nice I've bought it twice
After three years of long walks in rain, snow, mud, and sun my prior Kong's locking but was sticking. I have been very satisfied with this leash so wasn't bothered buying a new one having used the last for so long. I'm glad I did as the newer version is basically the same, but has two great improvements. One is that the leash material seems smoother and slides in and out of the roll with greater ease, though it may be that my old leash was so old it just became frayed. The second and most appreciated is that the stitching on the lead is now reflective. I live in an area without sidewalks so appreciate all things reflective when walking the pup at night. Great product, happily recommend to small dog owners.

Great leash
Love that this leash lets my dog have a little freedom and explore. I ordered one to test it out and quickly ordered a second so that I have them for both my dogs.

Way better than Competitors
Absolutely recommend this product. I went through two cheaper retractable leashes with my first dog and he broke them both with in a month. One stopped retracting and the other snapped clean off when he started pulling after deer. I paid more for the Kong leash because it had the one year warranty and figured it was worth it with him, and it made it a solid four years so this is my second one. The last one died after a long walk in the rain; think it got too waterlogged. But I’ll take four good years. I’ve used this on fosters who pull it through thorns and branches and all kinds of things and its never frayed, never snapped.

very good leash, but heavy
The leash is good quality, and the retraction action is very effective. I found the handle and locking mechanism difficult to operate, but that's because I have small hands. I hadn't realised when I bought it that the handle would be so bulky and heavy. If you have larger hands, this would be an ideal leash.

Not fit for purpose, both leads failed quickly!
Don’t be fooled By the brand name ‘kong‘ as these are not sturdy at all and are massively over priced for what they are. We own a springer and a golden doodle so we got a large one each so well within their weight limits and probably too big for our needs. Yet both leads never even lasted 5 weeks! They got wet on one walk (can’t be helped with Uk weather) then dried, but after that, neither retracted very well or locked properly and one wouldn’t unlock properly either which is a hazard with dog walking! I had to call amazon to get a return going as they gave 4 weeks for return them from date of receipt (which I’m unsure if that confirms to consumer rights?) but it was just past that date. These are not fit for purpose and a total waste of money. Very disappointed!. Shame I can’t rate these negatively as I would have liked to do!

Great I love it. It’s heavy Handel what you might not like.
I bought this for myself for my French bulldog it’s a heavy. If your used to normal size you might not like because it’s got some weight & big but I think it’s perfect for me but my gf doesn’t. But I love it goes well with new Kong harness.

Recommend
The reason for this purchase was mainly cause of the brand. My thinking good reputation got their toys. And yes it works .. We have a 1 year strong American bully Xl who doesn't so we'll on short lead and got fed up taking training lead so this is spot on a bit of freedom for him and we r not messing about with leads

Great lead for smaller dogs
Bought for our German Shepard but it didn’t last long. Would recommend for smaller dogs as it is a great lead just not for stronger dogs.
