I bought this UV protection umbrella for my mother, who has very sensitive skin and needs to avoid too much sun exposure. It turned out to be the perfect gift. I’m loving this “sunbrella!” It really does block sunlight and the reflective surface reflects light away so I doesn’t absorb a lot of heat. It makes it so much cooler under its shade.. I took it to an outdoor party and everyone who tired it loved it.

It does block the sun way better than a regular umbrella. Very sturdy. Opens and closes with a push of a button.What i dont like, because of the material, it is a little heavier. Also because of the material it does not fold down neatly like a typical umbrella. You do have to manually adjust it when closed so that the strap to hold it close, reaches all the way around. There is also no vent , so if there is some wind you definitely feel it pull.

This has been a life saver the past 2 months! My sunhat was too hot at recess duty & I came across this. It gives just enough shade that makes being out in the sun (for someone who doesn’t handle the sun/heat well) bearable. I even have little kids coming to share with me! It is light weight, easy to hold, & small enough to take in a purse. The fabric is a reflective kind on the top. The underside is like a normal umbrella. I’d buy again & will buy as a gift.

I’ve had this umbrella for about a week. I’ll update the review if necessary, but I must say as someone who has albinism damn I’m impressed. Since I’m really sensitive to the sun this definitely does the job when it comes to keeping me cool, while protecting my skin from the harsh UV rays. Had not gotten sunburn which I’m pretty impressed, as I heard that UV rated umbrellas only provide a level of protection. Did extensive research and the size is what should be the standard which is 46 inches. Got it in black with outside being silver, by far very portable and durable. Easy to get rid of the smell that people have been complaining about, just spray lightly with a strong unisex perfume/cologne. Used Lattafa to get rid of that smell. Since then the smell has gone away. Overall, I’m very impressed better than Coolibar umbrella as they don’t have size 46. If this thing keeps holding I will definitely buy two more of these.

THIS UNBRELLA IS TOTAL TRASH. DO NOT BUY. It is so fragile that it broke and became unusable in less than 24 hours. The metal joints are weaker than uncooked spaghetti and broke almost instantly through normal use, rendering the umbrella useless. I'm really annoyed about this because I have medical reasons to need to avoid the sun and therefore bought this umbrella/parasol for a trip to a city where I would have to walk around a lot outside. This garbage umbrella really let me down. If it were still within its return window, I would demand my money back from Amazon. Amazon should not sell products of such low quality.

The umbrella/Shade works good. Keeps the sun off of you. I ride the bus to work and it helps while waiting at the bus stop or walking from one to the other in the AZ sun.

Works great so far. Heavy material so is a bit chunky to carry when folded down but I use for extended walks when I don't need to be able to stow away.
