Very good for learning photography.
The tutorial is laid out in a very understandable way meaning very easy to follow and make you want to just read more and more about photography from the book.

Good companion book
This book has been very helpful with my new camera. It explains in more detail how to use the camera while at the same time offers great tips on taking photos.

Should Be in the Box as the Official Manual
The manual that came with the T4i is a standard camera manual. The facts are in it. Here it is ... now use your camera. This book explained things in more detail and was actually interesting to read. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended.

A MUST-have for T4i owners
I purchased the field guide for my Rebel XTi - and knew I had to have this for my recent purchase of the T4i. It does not disappoint -- an easy to read, easy to understand guide book, at a good price. Get it and take better pictures, and have much greater understanding of how and why the camera works.

But for errata would be five stars
I'm enjoying this book, but I must give it only 4 stars (rather than 5) due to the typos/errata. So far, when coming across the errors I was able to spot them by either looking at the camera itself or taking a few test shots. For example, on page 59 the writer states that the "DRIVE" mode button is on the right side of the "SET" button on the back of camera, when in fact it's on the left side as you face the SET button or the back of the camera. Yes, you can spot this type of error merely by looking at the camera (or photos of it), but in my opinion, this type of error should have been caught by the proof-readers and the errors elsewhere in the book which are not so obvious tend to undermine one's confidence in the rest of the information or advice given by the author. So buy the book, but be sure to check things for yourself as you're becoming familiar with all the features and operations of this great camera.

Great Reference and Size for Field Work
Rosh Sillars' field guide is a must have supplement to David Busch's expanded instruction book. These guys know their business and provied the best instructional manuals for any camera on the market. If you really want to learn your camer's capabilities, these are the guides you need. The Field Guide is the perfect companion for your field trips.

Not the Best Book Available
I bought the Digital Field Guide and the "Canon EOS Rebel T4i/650D For Dummies" at the same time when I bought my Canon T4i (which is a GREAT camera, now it's the very similar Canon T5i).The Dummies book is far better because it includes much more information directly aimed at the Canon 4Ti. The Dummies book explains everything about the Canon 4Ti in depth. The Field Guide is more general and even then is not very helpful in explaining digital photography. I would go with the Dummies book and not the Digital Field Guide.

Rebel T4i / 650D
Excellent book. Really helps with using the camera and taking better pictures. Don't worry if you have a Canon 650D it appears to be just another name for the Rebel T4i, they are exactly the same.

satisfaction
I received my copy of Rebel T4i/6500 a month ago.The book is so much better than the manual that come with the camera. I have gained a lot from the clear and detailed advise. The index is clear and helpful.Jens

Very good field guide.
Having bought this because the instruction book I received with my camera was okay but the print was tiny. This is excellent, great layout and great tips on how to get the very best from the camera.
