This product works great
I spent hours trapping rats and could not keep up. My property is in the Sonoran desert which is home to a huge population of Pack Rats that chew wiring, home insulation and generally tear things up. The southwest has a bit of bubonic plague and Hantavirus from time to time, too. I tried just throwing the bait in the rat holes, but the infestation continued. Finally, about 3 years ago I surrounded the house and stables with 4 Tomcat bait stations which keeps pet safe and protects the poison from weather. Within 2 weeks I noticed dramatically less rat sign. After a few weeks, the rats were completely gone. I just refill the bait stations about once a year.I strongly think the bait station is the key. It is much safer, too. It works great at my place.

Amazingly effective with rats in our bananas
Wherever we place these pods inside dog-safe traps, around the chicken coop, in the banana bunches, or surrounding the greenhouse, all is kept under control throughout the year. We target rats specifically, and in every case, even after having the pail for over 2 years, the rats evolve to a less invasive pest. The trick is to snag the dead ones before the dogs find them. It's all about bait/weight ratio, but even so, you want to minimize exposure to your local friendly predators (dog/cat)

Killed Rats with the force of a Thousand Suns
This poison is the s***. Literally. The rats in our house ate it so much their poop turned light blue, the same color as the poison. They ate this stuff like it was covered in Nutella. The poison took 1 week to work and the anticipation to see the end result was well worth the wait. My house does still reek of dead rat and I knew it would when I placed this bait around my house. But the smell for a few days is nothing compared to seeing this monster ([...]) dead in my basement. By the time I picked them up and disposed of them, they were as stiff as a board. I highly recommend this poison for rat problems that can not be handled with snap traps or rat zappers alone.

mice consumed Hawk Bait just like they were eating Tomcat All Weather Bait
I think this product works as advertised. Prior to using this product, I used Tomcat All Weather Bait Chunx. After using up 14 pounds, the mice were still around. I switched to this product thinking that single feeding killing might do the trick. At first, mice consumed Hawk Bait just like they were eating Tomcat All Weather Bait; however, after two months no mice touch the new baits I put out. Either they are all dead or they are avoiding the bait!

Here's my experience...
I own 2 oil change businesses. We saw a few rats and decided to buy poison. After putting this poison out at 4:00PM, I was wandering by at 6:00PM to check on something else, but noticed much of the bait had already been eaten (or drug off). Already! By the next morning, all but one piece of the 30-40 I had put out, was gone. My other store; same thing. I had a lot more rats than I thought and they love this stuff like candy! Over the next 2 days we found a couple ambling slowly along like they were drunk. Then the smell came! Most died in the walls. My businesses wreaked for about a week. We burned lots of candles, but the stink just lasted about a week. This stuff couldn't work any better, but get ready for the stink!

Ineffective Rat Control
The Motomco Hawk did not work at all because the rats were not attracted to the bait. I used another bait brand that the rats loved and ate every night. However, that brand did not contain the right poison to reduce their numbers. When using the Motomco the first night the rats turned over the bait trap but did not touch the bait. They were eating the clumbs from the previous bait. Since then they don't even come to the bait stations any longer and I know the rats are still there (visual sightings). Way too costly a product to be so ineffective. Try something else.

Okay
I received this a few weeks back and so far the rats have not eaten any of the bait. I am not sure if its the bait I am still investigating.

Awesome. The mice really liked it as this was said in other reviews. The traps are outside and I have trouble keeping larger animals from opening the traps and eating the bait. I have but heavy concrete blocks on top of the traps too keep larger animals from tapering with the traps. I thought this product was on the expensive side but it works.
