Definitely depends on the temperament of your bird whether you can put this on, I'm sure. But our cockatiel is only 2 months old and still in training period. He is too young to realize not all cockatiels wear diapers lol. He is CRAZY for millet treats, so I simply put one down on the table to keep him sidetracked & was able to slip this over his head and velcro beneath the wings in about 30 seconds. He does, of course, nibble at it unless he's being entertained, but we use it when he's being entertained anyways cuz we don't want droppings on our shoulders or furniture. In sum, it won't work for every bird, but if you're still training it's absolutely worth a shot for the price!

Had to use a scissor to remove immediately from my cockatiel after putting it on. It was very hard to put on and he (the bird) felt uncomfortable while wearing it. It got tangled and was very agitated while wearing it. I will not buy again.

Wanted to like this product, but my bird hated it. It looked so cute, though.
