Just switched from frozen Sambazon (organic, unsweetened) açaí to FGO (Feel Good Organic) freeze-dried açaí powder.Sambazon was not cost effective for me (4 packs/uses) went quickly with daily smoothies and, difficult to adjust the amount.Spent time researching online (sometimes too long!) for the best organic freeze-dried açaí (available on Amazon). FGO açaí brand was rated #1 best açaí on a couple websites. Decided to take the plunge and try FGO. I’m not sorry! It’s tastes great, more cost effective and I can adjust the amount in my smoothie.Pro’s:—Certified Organic, Non-GMO, GMP, Gluten free, Raw (no additives)—Deep rich purple color (no oxidation). True to the fresh açaí berry—Dissolves easily and completely in my smoothie (Variety of uses)—Pleasant taste- not bitter, sweet or grainy—Retains some moisture content- not overly dry—Easy to open and close pouch (see hints at end of review)—Contained in a natural pouch- sturdy paper with lined interior.—Available in different ounces (ordered the 4oz bag- they don’t skimp)—Product of Brazil (sourcing) and packed in U.S.Con’s—Price (more expensive than other freeze-dried brands. But, the quality of this brands açaí berry is superb. Lasts much longer than my previous frozen version).Hint before opening bag:Give bag a good shake- moving powder to bottom of bag. Then, seal the zip top. Gently tear the bag where marked (above zip top) or use scissors. Make sure to open bag over a surface area that won’t stain- açaí berries will stain certain countertops or sinks. Instead of shaking powder from bag into food or smoothie, use a spoon. Reseal bag and place in refrigerator (noted some comments mention they were unable to seal bag after opening or, the açaí powder went everywhere). Some have suggested to transfer the powder to a glass container. I’ve kept mine in its original bag without issue.Also, make sure to refrigerate and close attention to expiration date to ensure great taste.

I would like to start by saying if I could give this Brand and Product more stars I would. I had purchased this product after reading multiple reviews on the quality of the taste and flavour. After going on a vacation to Hawaii, I became hooked on Acai bowls and decided I wanted to make it at home. Turns out it's super easy. The first product that I found in store was Sambazon frozen packs. What I didn't like about it was the fact that it had to be kept frozen and different berries had already been mixed into the product. The package was also for only 4 uses. The price quickly adds up for someone to have other berries mixed in. After reading about the Acai berry and how it is processed, I realized that frozen was not necessarily better than powder (I also read up on fresh.... Just don't bother unless you live where they grow). I pulled the trigger as my boyfriend would call it and gave this product a shot. As I mentioned before I was nothing but impressed with the powder. In fact, I prefer it to the frozen because I can adjust the flavour and it is significantly less expensive per serving. Since I can adjust the flavour of how much Acai, it tastes much better. I have read that some products have a chalky taste to it. THIS DOES NOT. Aside from the fresh pineapples in Hawaii, I can't tell the difference between my homemade and restaurant served. I am very pleased.Aside from the product, it should also be noted how amazing this company Feel Good is. They truly care about the product that they produce and the quality. After I had received my acai powder, I received an email from the company saying I hope you like our product, if you have any questions or concerns email us. I'm sure most of us Amazon shoppers have seen this email from other companies that we have purchased from in the past. Once receiving the package, I had noticed that the shelf life of the product was not as long as I thought it would be. I had emailed back to inquire about the shelf life out of curiosity. I quickly received an email back from the founder Brad apologizing for the shelf life and also got a refund. I'm not the type of person that is looking for a free deal. I really like this product aside from the date my package expires (it was in a couple months) so I emailed back saying I wasn't looking to be compensated and I would gladly pay for it. The response I got was, "our policy is that we don't want anyone to pay for something that is not 100% perfect. We appreciate that you were generally happy, but we want to work harder to make sure it is 100% perfect for your next time." How can you not support a brand that is so passionate about their product and keeping their customers happy. What truly sets this company apart from others is that they had removed the size I had purchased off their line to ensure that other customers would not have the same concerns as myself. A refund is a quick fix. To go ahead and address my concerns on the rest of your inventory is dedication. Buy this product. It tastes amazing and Feel Good deserves your business!

I found the various one star reviews a bit daunting - who wants rancid product??Ultimately the brand I'd been buying (KOS Organic) was discontinued on Amazon, so I spent a few minutes researching and bought a one pound bag of this product.Initial thoughts - this seems very fresh. Mine has an expiration date well over a year from date of receipt, and the powder is a rich, dark purple. It smells faintly of plums and berries (dark fruit) and earthy, though not in an unpleasant way.I mix this into a daily plant based protein shake, along with cacao, matcha, and peanut butter powder. While my shake has a ton going on (read: lots of ingredients/flavors) this acai brought a noticeable and welcome berry note to the end product.I "blend" my shakes in a 32oz Blender Bottle, and shake them like a madman for 5+mins to minimize undissolved powders (yuck!!) and have not found this powder to leave any residue behind. I've even checked the 1-2 sips left at the end of consuming and there's no acai bits remaining - it mixes surprisingly well, IMHO.As I said above, the product appears very freshly made, and I could see where some consumers may have received rancid powder, given that. I did not and will order again.The bag is not the best, to be perfectly fair, though I feel the quality of the powder easily offsets that inconvenience - I ended up transferring the powder to an old KOS canister and refrigerating all of it.Edited this review to say I've now ordered 3 of the 1lb bags and remain a 100% satisfied customer.
