So GOOD I had to write a review!
I am truly pleased with this purchase. I live in rural USA. Our small community owned grocery store has 3 aisles. I live 35 miles from the nearest big box supermarket. I need a cookbook that uses practical everyday supplies and has great tasting recipes. I wasn't looking for a 100 calorie cookbook, that just happened to be a bonus. This cookbook is chock-full of good tasting, easy prep, and real food ingredients. It will become a fast favorite in my cookbook collection. I read cookbooks like a good novel and this is a repeat read that is for certain.

Great book.
I must confess that I bought this book as a gift for one of my good friends. She and her 80 year old husband were going to start dieting because of his health issues, and shortly after our conversation, I happened to see Anson Williams (Potsie) on TV with this cook book. My friend, Judy loves the book and on Wednesday told me about a delicious recipe for a strawberry shake without ice cream that she made... So it's a hit with her, her hubby and their two precious grand-daughters.I hope this helped.

Great book. It's the most sensible approach to losing ...
Great book. It's the most sensible approach to losing weight that I have ever seen. Using the 100 calorie counting system, I can build a day's worth of meals and snacks in my goal calorie range of 1200 calories very easily. The recipes are delicious lasagna, pulled pork, even Shepard's pie. And depending how I used my calories the rest of the day, I can build a dinner with my favorite dish that's really satisfying - and not bust my diet. Wow, what a great concept!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Cookbook!!!
This is a wonderful book if you are like me and looking for fast, easy recipes. I am in no way, shape or form a cook (I can burn water), but this book makes it super easy and fun [to help] me stick to a more healthy eating lifestyle. It even has sample weekly menus and calorie suggestions based on your age and exercise levels. I highly recommend this book if you are anything like me - {Lazy and inexperienced} in the kitchen. I was so happy with this book that I purchased another one for a friend of mine.

Truly Perfect Cookbook!
The Perfect Portion cookbook is truly perfect. I’ll start by saying I’m not much of a chef, but this cook book making cooking fun. The step by step instructions are so simple to follow and the pictures making choosing a new recipe easy to do. If you're watching calories, this is the cookbook for you. Each recipe is broken down into 100 calorie portions. I just got the book & have tried the sweet potato wedges and seasoned cod. Both came out great!

Well worth the investment and you will loose weight.
I almost didn't buy this when I saw it was a paper back. Glad I took a chance and went for it. The binding and cover are as close to hard bound as you will find without being hard bound. The recipes are all great and easy to follow. Beautiful pictures and the diet control system is very easy to understand and follow. I am very happy with this purchase.

EASY TO UNDERSTAND
THIS BOOK IS AN EXCELLENT REFERENCE. SHOWES THE EXACT AMOUNT THAT YOU SHOULD USE FOR CERTAIN AMOUNTS OF CALORIES. IT IS COLORFUL AND JUST OVERALL A GREAT BOOK.

This cookbook is filled with wonderful familiar comfort food recipes. Excited to try these recipes of foods I enjoy from a healthier perspective.
