Low range isn't low enough to catch parasitic drains
I really liked this in principlePro: 30 Amp range is useful for most circuits other than the starter itselfCon: the 0.1 Amp minimum resolution is too high to catch most parasitics - and what will it read?50 ma (0.050) is an acceptable key-off drain. In some cars near 100 ma (0.1 A) is acceptable. This will not read that low.Note: Will help you meter out and identify higher current circuits; Otherwise not adequately low reading to ferret out parasitic drains.

Great tool for troubleshooting current draw issues, but not small ones
Since the resolution only goes down to 0.1A or 100mA, it cannot catch the really small stuff.I do have a circuit tracer set that can handle that.I am a professional automotive mechanic, and electrical is my forte. These kinds are tools just makes my job more efficient.I initially bought the smaller set but like it so much, that I purchased this larger set.

Really nice convenient speciality measuring device
This makes searching for automotive electrical leaks a great product. The reason for a four is that it’s measurement range may not be sufficient to find the smallest leaks. However the leads hook up to many of our own already owned ohm meters when necessary. Mine had a problem but was replaced quickly which says a lot for the company!!

Very helpful tool to keep in box.
Used the fuse buddy to help find a short in a harness for the powered mirrors. I was able to track down the culprit and identify the problem. Overall I am very happy with this little tool.

A nice handy little tool that works well, But design not perfect.
I removed one star because the fuse holder is poorly designed and the fuse goes in too far to grab so is difficult to remove by hand, alsoyou have to be careful to not overload the unit because it will burn up the fuse holder part of the tool due to the sensing circuit in it heating up if the fuse is rated too high and it pulls high amps for more then a few seconds, But if you don't overload it or use a fuse rated low enough to blow if you accidentally do overload it then this is not a problem. Other then that it is a nice, handy little tool that works well and I like it, and is not bad quality as some have suggested.A Suggestion to the Manufacturer -- Although so far what I have used it on I have not had a problem, if you changed the end that plugs intothe fuse box of the vehicle to an end that is the size of a standard fuse but slightly longer so the user can grab it and then put wires from that end to the fuse holding part of the tool, then it would fit into any fuse box on any vehicle in any position. And as noted change the fuse holder design so the fuse is easy to insert and remove, also consider adding a resettable thermal limit switch to eliminate even the possibility of heat damage if overloaded, Do these things and a good tool will become a Great Tool.

Quick and simple
I use these for a quick amp reading while installing aftermarket equipment on vehicles. I like the ease of use.

Great diagnosis equipment to have in your toolbox
Awesome piece of diagnostic equipment to have in my toolbox. Great to have 2 different size fuses but also a clip on set. Very easy to use and nice u can see wht the amperage is. Recommend buying the resettable ATC fuses (5A-30A set) with this so your not wasting fuses and time.
