It's all I ever wanted from a protein shake!
In a world where too many different ingredients are used, most of which are unfamiliar to many ppl, and none of which are evaluated or endorsed by the FDA, one shake took a stand and said, "Just try me!" Seriously, who hasn't read or heard rumors about bizarre or fatal side effects when it comes to the vast usage of supplements, muscle enhancers or testosterone boosters? I know I've seen it in my life even before I left high school(6 years ago) and since made it a point to watch what I use, which isn't much these days. I give this 5 stars for Amazon's low price(making it affordable for me), the acceptable-pretty good vanilla taste/consistency(as far as protein shake tastes go and considering it is all natural), and the amazing nutritional value. I'm a hard-gainer so I need a serious shake mix and this one brings it BUT without the extra fat either like most gainer or pro complex shakes. Also the company, ON, pretty much dominates when it comes to supplement awards; so people's choice!

The natural vanilla is a little gross
Please note, this review only applies to the NATURAL VANILLA PRO COMPLEX. I think a lot of the previous reviewers were referring to the normal pro complex, to which this review doesn't apply. In summary, the VANILLA flavored NATURAL PRO COMPLEX is one of optimum's grossest varieties. It tastes like I'm mixing up a big batch of non-dairy creamer for my protein shake. Some of you may like that, but I do not. The normal pro complex is worlds better. However, there is a qualification:I bought the natural vanilla variety on amazon for $55. This was about $10 cheaper than the normal pro complex (which was going for $66 at the time, I don't know why the price is higher these days). For that $10 savings, I'd buy the same gross flavor again. In summary, the NATURAL VANILLA PRO COMPLEX is pretty gross, but it's not gross enough to deter me from buying it again at $55.

Decent
Definitely not vegetarian. Whey, casein and egg make up a majority of the protein sources. It mixes easily. One scoop is about 30 grams of protein. 2 scoops is a serving. 30 servings in the tub. This brand of pure whey protein is cheaper. Personally I like Jarrow's whey protein better because they advertise they don't use cows treated with growth hormone. I also liked this brand's "Whey & Oats" mix. This protein is easy to digest. It mixes in shakes with most fruit flavors easily. My one complaint is it has this strange acidic taste to it, almost like vinegar or lemon juice. It's not bad, but if you use 3 scoops in a shake it can be overpowering. With most whey proteins I can just make it thick and the taste is neutral.I like that this is all natural, but with the amount of things that are in it.. egg albumin for example, while I realize it is natural, I wouldn't consider it food in a raw or unrefined state. And personally, I like protein mixes that lean on the basic side not complex. So while this mix worked for me, and I used it all easily with no complaints, I probably wont be buying it again, maybe just when I want to bulk quick.Hope that helps.

Great macros, horrible taste
i drink a ton of protein shakes, and have tried many many different tubs of things. This stuff is horrible tasting. I think it is nasty on the way down from all the raw vitamins, but then the aftertaste is from the egg protein. If you are used to whey or casein, this shake will rustle your jimmies. I strongly recommend you just stick with a tub of ON Whey natural for daytime, and o/n casein for meal replacements/nighttime. Sorry O/N, the label on this has all the right numbers, but the taste isnt worth it.

Good protein but produces discomfort
First thumbs up for the effort of producing a protein that is natural, clean of additives, colorants and other toxins. Also I think the mix this protein provides is quite interesting. It provides proteins that can quickly absorbed as well others that will take longer providing the body a more continuous stream of protein therefore favoring a better recovery.I have consumed several of this containers but every time the stomach discomfort and the gas were unwanted companion. The only way I can handle this product is by taking digestive enzymes. The product is supposed to contain lactase but at least in my case, it feels ineffective. Finally I decided to drop it and replace it with whey isolate and casein. Curiously neither one of these products give me the same discomfort. Maybe me, maybe the product, I not sure, what I know is that consuming whey isolate and casein separately seem to be the right combination. On a side note, if you are training hard, make sure you understand what you are taking in. Research the ingredients.Just a friendly advice.

Great Protein, Natural
We all know that Optimum Nutrition has always delivered high quality protein powder. This particular one has an even better profile than the Gold Standard Whey. It is also natural. Now the taste (Vanilla) I would say is "above average." It is not that best tasting protein I have had, however, given that it is natural, I did not expect it to be, nor should you. Even still, it taste pretty could with milk (I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for taste). It mixed just fine in a shaker bottle for me.

Great Protein Powder
This protein powder has become my product of choice. With a great single serving of 30 grams of protein per scoop (two scoops to get the 60 grams they advertise), it mixes well, doesn't clump up too much and is easy to drink. I don't particularly care for the taste of it, so I get one of those zero calorie drink mixes from the store and put that in there to make it a little easier to down. It's helped me greatly in maintaining my macro nutrient goals. Awesome product.

Tastes much better without the fake sweetener
My chief complaint with protein powder has been the nasty artificial sweetener taste. This is a huge improvement. But does sugar really cost that much? I think not. The price is way too high.** Update ** I still like the taste better than the 100% egg. I'm re-ordering. The vanilla is a little less expensive, and since I always add cocoa anyway the vanilla just gives me more options. It's also good with a little coffee if you need to make a shake a the office.
