This is because I live in Northern California and we have goathead thorns by the sides of the road. Getting a flat is all about percentages, so in addition to having the sturdy tires, I have the chemical sealant in the tubes and I purchased these liners for an extra measure of protection.The liners arrived in very simple but tough packaging along with color image instructions. For me, they were a bit of a task to slide into a tire correctly but I used some patience, the right tools, a low seated chair and a footstool for added leverage to rest the tire on, along with barely inflated tubes that had just enough air to hold their shape.The quality of the liners looked and felt fine. As opposed to other models of tire liners, these are very light-weight and have soft, flimsy edges so that they won't slice an inner tube.
