What constitutes a light bait vs a heavier bait?

Not sure the formal catagory boundaries but I have used really large rooster tails and 1/4 oz lead head jigs and relatively stout spoons with no problems.

What line weight (i use floro leader) would you recommend for the mhf?

I use 15lb power pro and 20lb floro for the leader. It works really well with the Shimano stradic 4000.

7ft Rod broke

This 7ft Medium Fast rod broke while fishing the 2nd time with it. I do not recommend this product. It cost me a lot yet broke so easily at the top tip of the rod. Honestly, I’m shocked. I was under the impression this was a good brand. Reading at he other reviews, this is not an off case.

This is an excellent rod. However note the rod was shipped with zero protection in just the plastic bag from CA to MD. It arrived with 2 bent eyes. I decided to let this go versus the hassle of a return/exchange. The rod itself was not damaged.
