Amazing value and features
Amazing value and features! I bought this to replace a similar 5 or 6 year old JVC double-din unit and am extremely happy. PRO'S - Seamless BT integration with my Android phone - iHeart Radio and Pandora automatically launch when the source is selected and are easily controlled by the unit. - I love that you can store presets, just like AM/FM radio - switching stations is fast and easy - Automatically reconnects and resumes playing the app after starting the car (takes about 10-15 seconds) - Phone call sound and functionality is great over BT with use of the wired mic nestled in my visor. - Easy to access the contacts, make and receive calls, - Built in amp puts out impressive power and sound quality (more than my old unit) - Nice customization of EQ settings as well. - Spotify plays well, not great (over USB). Controls do not seem work as well as Pandora and iHeart - Song search functionality over usb drive is improved over previous model. Easy to locate songs, artists, and albums CONS - Load time for USB flash drive slow. 16 GB drive takes about a minute to load and begin playing. Seems like it's having to reindex each time - Automatic night/day dim does not work (it's wired correctly) Workaround is to set the dim time in the settings - Mounting holes are deeper than my old unit. I used the same dash kit, but the unit is countersunk about 1/4" instead of being flush The pros far outweigh the cons. I was going to spend 3 times as much for a higher end LCD unit, but this does everything I want, and does it very well, for the most part. The price is just amazing!

Nice reasonably priced upgrade for older vehicle
I installed this unit in my 2002 Toyota Tundra. Welcome to the 21st century! With all due respect to the old stereo, which was still working fine, it’s nice to have the modern conveniences. I was using a cassette adapter to plug my Sirius XM tuner into. Sure is nice to finally have an AUX input... plus Bluetooth, app support etc. etc. Install was pretty easy, I found a video that showed how to remove the front dash panel (remove knobs, 5 screws, and pull!) Unplug and remove the old unit and the amplifier. Connect the adapter wiring harness (sold separately) to the JVC harness using the existing color coding (I soldered and shrink-wrapped all connections, I’m not a fan of crimp connectors in places that won’t be easily accessible, but that’s just me) and plugged everything back in. The hardest part was figuring out where to put the microphone, since none existed before. The setup was not bad, and the manual is fairly helpful for most items. There are more features than most users will need or care about. It took me a while to get my iPhone to pair via Bluetooth but I think it was more my fault than anything else. Read through the process a few times before you begin. The sound is much improved, the clarity is much better and it plays louder without distortion. I found the “hip-hop” setting to be a good starting point in this vehicle. The display can be a bit garish (Tokyo by night?) but can be tamed pretty easily.

Big sound with little cost!
This car stereo carries big sound for little cost. I was really surprised at how well this stereo performs. This was my first car stereo install and I was successfully able to install it in my mother's 2013 Jeep Compass. The stereo wiring harness was easy to splice together with my Axxess XSVI-6522-NAV wiring harness. I literally just spliced the like colored wires together via crimp connectors. I then installed both the Metra 40-EU10 Antenna adapter and the Metra 95-6511 mounting bracket. It took me about 45 minutes to do the install and would have been faster except I ran into a small issue removing the factory radio bracket which has to be removed to make room for this radio. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out what has to be done to remove that bracket. The rest was super easy. This radio has a TON of nice options that work well. The equalizer is really nice and carries a bunch of presets. The Bluetooth hands free feature paired fine with my phone and I was able to play music from Spotify via my phone and it played through my car speakers without any issues. I did remove 1 star due to the Bluetooth running into playback issues if more than 1 phone is paired at the same time. I'm hoping a firmware update will fix that issue. I'll update my rating if an update fixes the issue. I noticed many people complain about the clock resetting itself. This happens if you have the clock setting set to 'auto sync'. You can turn off the clock 'auto sync' option and then manually adjust the time and it will no longer sync with the station's broadcasting which can be inaccurate sometimes. I really love this radio and my mom is also really pleased with it as well. I'd certainly purchase this unit again for the cost.

Great Unit for price.
After using this for 2 months I will say that I love this radio. Fits in my 2004 Suburban Z71 perfectly with a minor dash modification to make space for the radio's depth. Some big pliers and minor hacking at some plastic inside the dash, made this puppy fit perfectly. The center volume knob is in a good location and a quick touch will pause the radio. Synced well with both my IPhone 6 and my Android phone. Pandora worked best wirelessly with my Android. Added life to the factory speakers without a power amp. I was going to replace them with some infinity speakers I had but was surprised how well they sounded ( not audiophile quality by any means, but not worth the hassle of removing 4 door panels). I did bypass the factory bose amp and ran wires directly to the speakers from the head unit. ( google this). For added bass I added a 12 inch infinity sub with a Rockford Fosgate 500w mono amp. Instructions are bad. Kept pressing buttons by trial and error. Set the color to match my dash. For the price the sound can not be beat. I also added Sirius and it sounds like FM radio quality, but worth the variety of station in my opinion. CD quality is excellent as is the sound using a USB from my IPhone with my songs.

I bought this item and it seemed to work okay ...
I bought this item and it seemed to work okay after installation. Unfortunately I shortly realized that every time I locked or unlocked the doors or I put the car in park it would mute the radio. It didn't matter if the radio was on, auxiliary, CD, etc. It did it every time I had the car on and running and we checked all the wires, fuses in the car, even bought the same model radio from a different store and it did the same thing. The radio may not be compatible with my car but Amazon and Crutchfield.com both said that it was compatible with my car.

A great stereo with Bluetooth, AUX, USB (charges) and excellent sound.
Purchased as a replacement for my stock stereo in my 2005 Dodge Ram. also purchased was the Metra 95-6522B 2002-05 Dodge Ram Dash Kit + Non-Amp Interface + Antenna Adapter. So total cost for both was just under $140.00. Installed in about three hours, and looks and functions beyond my expectations. Bluetooth hooked up seamlessly and mic positioned at the top of the window column drivers side works very well. Microphone gain is fully adjustable, and turning it up made all the difference in the world. Youtube helped somewhat, but most were pushing some redneck solution using JB Weld and "their custom kits". Yes you do have to cut some of the dashboard out, a sawzall worked fine for that, and the Metra Kit facade fit perfectly (you cannot tell its not stock). I am VERY happy with the stereo, excellent sound, bluetooth fully functional and front USB and AUX work well (USB also charges).

Does not last long.
This is the second one that I have had in my truck. It sounds good and it worked well when it was new, but time took its toll on it. Each one of them lasted about 3 years. A good radio should last the life of the vehicle.

Cool stereo!
I had a single din jvc in my Honda that I loved and I just bought a 2001 Toyota Camry le w/jbl amp. The radio was extremely outdated so I picked up this double din stereo and the installation was incredibly easy. Once paired, the Bluetooth automatically connects to your phone every time and comes with a mic you can hook up for better quality phone calls. So far everything sounds amazing whether listening to Spotify, pandora, or making and receiving phone calls. Looks pretty cool at night, too 😎 *For anyone who has a 2001 Toyota Camry with the Jbl Fyi I used the the Metra 70-8113 integration harness which hooked up to the factory and jvc harness. I skipped a few wires I didn't need to match to this harness and it's working pretty mint.*
