This worked out perfectly for my Halloween costume. It felt very luxurious and it kept me warm, so a win all around. We got one for my husband’s costume too.

Just received the purple version of this cloak today & I am surprised & very impressed. The deep purple color is beautiful and looks great! I got the 'large' so it's a bit long in the length but that's okay, I was more concerned with how much room I'd have in the shoulders & chest. It sits very nicely on my frame. It seems well made & I found no flaws in its construction, no tears or damage from shipping. The material appears to be a crushed panne velvet which is the thinner, lighter weight velvet. The material drapes nicely & flows wonderfully as I walk. I love the way it pools around my feet on the floor! Overall, it is not too light nor too heavy in weight. The hood is extremely large to accommodate large hairdos, crowns, a medieval helmet, or pulled down low for monk- or vampire privacy. The neckline is large which is nice, I don't feel like I'm being strangled. The fullness in the shoulders allows for heavier clothing to be worn underneath: bulky sweaters, a jacket, or a full Cosplay costume (knights in armor, or ladies of the court, or a gathering of the wiccan's coven). I have a couple of other cloaks by other makers who used shoulder seams which don't allow for wider shoulders or heavy clothing & are a little restrictive. I don't have that problem with this cloak. The ties are set back from the edges to allow the front to overlap when tied snugly with no gaping which I like very much. I am thinking of switching out the ties for a large clasp. The wider circumference of the bottom edge is nice & wide which makes the flow of the material freer & more fluid. I like this cloak so much I just ordered another one in green. I may combine it with the purple for a truly reversible cloak! For the price, you can't go wrong with this one. I am very happy with how it turned out & I'm glad I splurged on two! I think you will as well!

This cape is made very well and a pretty color. My only concern would be it's VERY LONG. I struggled not to trip over it all night. I would recommend sizing down

I got this for my wife who is 5'1". Going by the size chart, I ordered the recommended size but it was way too long. I returned it with zero issues and went for a smaller size. It too was a bit long, but workable. The material is fantastic and this is not a cheap Halloween throwaway cloak. The lining is nice as well. I would recommend this as a purchase for anyone wanting a sturdy cloak for occasional costuming wear.

I bought this cape with the thought of taking pictures in the snow. It finally snowed today and this cape did not disappoint. The color is stunning. It's very well made, nice quality velvet with a black satin lining. I want to wear this cape every day for the rest of my life. I'm only 5'1" and the small is the perfect length. It still has plenty of volume, even for someone with some extra weight, like me. I highly recommend this cape!

Bought this for a chilly day at the renn faire and it kept me warm all day even when the wind was howling. Love and would buy in every color. Definitely worth paying a little more

The purple is very vibrant more like a violet. Not a rich deep purple, but still pretty. Smelled like fish, make sure you have time to wash-before-wear.

I ordered two of these for our bridesmaids. They are excellent quality and looked so stunning in our wedding photos. Our bridesmaids were comfy and warm in them too! Lots of people asked where they were from, they definitely look more expensive than they are. Would definitely recommend
