I've been using this press for just under a month and I'm impressed. Yeah, I know, it's not as pretty as the glass presses, but here's the thing. That glass presses all use a very thin flask that will crack at it's first opportunity. I know, I've been through two of them. This stainless steel press cleans up easily without any concern about glass breakage. I'll take sturdy over pretty every single time.

Decided upon a stainless replacement for my glass Bodum, which I finally broke with a spoon, of all things.I like this unit; it's built like a tank, and well executed. Nice countertop aesthetic as well. The silicone undermat is a nice inclusion, and is the spring-loaded alligator-jaw coffee scoop spoon thingie.My only point of criticism: this item is NOT vacuum insulated. Heat from boiling water jumps the airgap to the outside surface pretty quickly. It gets very warm on the outside, but not hot. This isn't a cause for much concern, and I always transfer the coffee to my vacuum insulated coffee mug, anyway.I would recommend this product, but you should know it's not vacuum insulated.

I had used a few of the cheaper glass French presses but they both broke over time. This product is much stronger and of better quality then those. Build quality is excellent. The addition of the spoon is nice but I don't use it. I do use the rubber pad on my desk as thats a nice feature. If I could remove a half star I would for the reason that the internal laser etching of the water measurements is not that dark. Not a huge deal for me as over time the acidity of the coffee has made its on "water mark" over time. That "water mark" is not a knock against the product either as I believe that would happen with any stainless steel French press. Its not a rust mark, but just slightly lighter in color then the surrounding metal.

First of all I have to say that the negative reviews of this press are ,I think , just some being very picky. I love this French press. It doesn't scratch easily or get coffee grounds in your coffee. I usually don't write reviews but for rhis press I had to.

Never used one of these before and had always seen the glass ones and so I initially looked into getting a glass one. After reading so many negative reviews about the glass breaking, I figured stainless was the way to go. I'm very happy with this press! It was easy to learn to use and keeps my coffee warm. I can get about 2-3 cups each use. Only issue I had at the beginning was the strong smell of the metal, which mostly goes away after use and washing. Would recommend a thorough cleaning and soaking in boiling water and vinegar before using it the first time.

I ordered this coffee maker after my glass one broke. This one works well and it is easy to clean and will last long.

The Loffel French Press is a terrific coffee maker. Well constructed and nice stainless steel finish. The richness of the flavor of each cup makes me realize how much I missed out with the Keurig this replaced. I purchased this with the Sinmax Glass Measuring Cup set so I just microwave the water to boiling and then pour it into the french press and stir. So easy, and cleanup is a snap. I highly recommend this unit.

Easy to use and don’t have to be afraid of breaking the glass anymore.
