Good mixer
Good solid mixer. I bought this to mix sugar syrup for my bees in a 5 gallon bucket. Works great and feels well made. Hopefully it will last for a long time.

Allway Paint Mixer-- Easy to use, Inexpensive, No problem
I had less than half a gallon of old primer I wanted to salvage for a small area. It was pretty nasty but it was either use it or toss it. I bought this to make my attack. Pic A shows how it came. OK fine. Pic B shows the rubber top that you use if you want to hang it. It comes right off. You can kinda see the shaft is 6 sided. Fits nice and snug in my drill. I would think a variable speed drill is best for this. You can control the splatter! I started slowly and clockwise which is to say going with the fins. Did great. I then decided to reverse direction and it did just as well. Maybe a little more aggressive but not uncontrollably so. Again, I'm in less than half a gallon so I wanted to be careful. In a full gallon you would probably need more power. I got to use the old primer and am very happy with this. Pic C shows the top of the stirrer for what its worth. Note that this brand doesn't have the flat platform over the fins. Maybe it adds to stability or longevity not sure, but without it, it sees to be easy to clean. (PS I letter my pics because Amazon keeps screwing up their order so I can't refer to first pic, second pic etc!) Thanks

Must-Have accessory for any painting project
If you're going to do any painting, do yourself a favor. If you don't own a drill, go buy the cheapest one at the hardware store. You can probably find one for $30 if you look around. Then buy one of these things for five bucks. Those will probably be the most valuable painting tools you can buy. When I was a kid, we used to have to mix paint by hand with one of those flat sticks. It didn't seem to matter how long we stirred. The paint never mixed completely. Then, hardware stores started carrying those paint can shakers, but I didn't want to go to the hardware store every time I needed to mix paint. It has been a while since I had a painting project. I had one come up this winter, and I conceived of the idea of attaching something to my drill to mix the paint. I decided to see if maybe someone else had thought of the idea, and sure enough. I must warn that you need to look closely at the date that says when it's going to ship. It took about a month to get mine. That's not going to knock any stars off of the review because it's not supposed to. It's just a good idea to check on this item. I ended up buying another one at my neighborhood Ace, so I actually have two of these now. Mixing the paint with my drill on a low setting took maybe a couple of minutes. It was probably faster than that, but I went a lot longer than I thought I needed to simply because I've had bad experiences mixing paint. It did a great job. The paint went on great, and it looks great. It was also very easy to clean afterwards. I used an matte acrylic paint. After I used it, it sat for about an hour. That was long enough for the paint to dry but not cure, and it peeled right off. I hate painting, period. But this thing sure does make it easier to start a job. If you have a drill, it's a no brainer. If you don't have a drill, add $35 to your project budget and save yourself a ton of time.

Good mixing tool but a bit messy
Good mixing tool but a bit messy I tried out the ALLWAY HM1 Helix Paint Mixer with the idea that it would make quick work of small paint jobs. It does a good job of mixing paint in a 1-gallon can – the helix design really stirs things up and ensures the paint gets blended evenly, which is better than trying to stir with a stick. It’s lightweight, easy to attach to a drill, and the size is just right for quart and gallon containers. On the flip side, I noticed that if I ran the drill too fast, paint tended to splash up the sides of the can. Keeping the drill speed on the lower side is important if you don’t want a mess. Cleanup is also a little tricky since paint gets caught in the curves of the helix. It takes some soaking and scrubbing to get it completely clean. Bottom line: This mixer does what it’s supposed to – mixes paint quickly and evenly. Just be mindful of drill speed and be ready to spend a little extra time cleaning it afterward.

Joint compound consistency
Used for joint compound, smaller batches in large spackle tray added a little water, the results were phenomenal and all batches were consistent.

Does a very good job!
This little paint mixer does a very good job at mixing my 5 gallon bucket of paint. I was able to simply attach it to my drill and place all the way down to the bottom of the paint bucket, and it mixed up my paint perfectly! It did not splatter, and the paint mixer was easy to clean and store for the next job. Overall, I give this product a perfect 4 stars. It's also a very well-made, heavy-duty product! I highly recommend this product for all of your paint projects.

Perfect drill attachment mixer for thick paint/materials
I ordered this to use with RollerRock patio coating—a paint-like surface treatment with ground stone in it for texture and grip—which is thick and reviews mentioned the need to mix extremely thoroughly and frequently. Works like a charm and I’ve since used it with masonry paint (a little thicker than standard wall paint) and concrete stain (watery thin). It’s super easy to pop into the drill and just as easy to clean up afterward. I like the little rubber cap it comes with as a hook for hanging in storage. The red mixer head is very rigid, but will still bend with force (meaning it’s not brittle and likely to break, even if you smack the sides of the paint can like I do); it’s not a soft/flexible silicone, if that’s what you’re looking for.

The best paint stirring tool you will ever own.
My fear: That, when used with a drill, the paint would splash out of the can. My paint: Purchased an oil infused enamel from the blue home center and the paint separated creating huge lumps. They were so thick, I could not stir them with a paint paddle. The result: I attached the tool to a drill, placed the can in a utility sink, placed the paddle in the can and carefully started the drill. The tool stirs the paint downward! There is absolutely no mess. Even when you pull the spinning tool about 1/3 out of the paint. This tool is magnificent! !! It works with Qrts and Gals. I highly recommend it!!!

I use the ALLWAY HMQ Helix Paint Mixer Drill Attachment for mixing epoxy resin, and it works wonderfully! It mixes thoroughly and quickly, ensuring a smooth, bubble-free blend every time. Cleanup is a breeze, which is a huge plus when working with sticky materials like resin. This mixer attaches easily to a drill and provides consistent results without splashing, saving both time and effort. If you're looking for an efficient, easy-to-clean mixer for resin or other materials, this is a fantastic choice!

Je l'ai eu pendant près d'un an et l'ai utilisé régulièrement. Il est toujours en bon état, mais je pense qu'il pourrait être plus solide.

Great tool. Small enough to fit anywhere yet the right size for mixing, including mixing tubs of paint…etc. Wish I got it sooner. Used it for years and still good.
