It does require many craft items and supplies that are not things we have around the house. Not a big deal, but I need to work on stocking my craft supplies. Many of these activities are a little ahead of my almost 3 year old, but she will soon grow into it. If you want a large book with a lot of ideas, this is great. I also bought the "Preschooler's Busy Book" and find that uses more household items, but the crafts aren't as extensive.
