Practical strategies for living an intentional life
Having followed Claire's work for a number of years I knew her to be passionate about maximising her productivity and channeling her daily energies to bear as much as fruit. In some ways this small and easy to read book is Claire's manifesto for living a life of intentionality. It's absolutely worth reading because the strategies Claire proposes are those she has successfully incorporated in developing a life of purpose. The book is written into two parts: Decide and Organize (Less is More). The Decide part is all about determining the what to focus on. Interestingly, Claire uses the "Word of the Year" as a critical platform for determining what to do. If something doesn't marry within the context of the "Word" she won't do it. The rest of this section involves developing goals (i.e. SMART ones), keeping them top of mind and creating the necessary strategies to achieve the goals. The "Organize" section provides lots of handy tips on setting yourself up each day to move forward on your goals. Here she reviews the power of a morning routine with her PRESENT acronym which I've always appreciated and have adopted with some modifications; the 80/20 rule, i.e. we achieve 80% of our best in 20% of our time; and, various other common productivity enhancers around email arrangement, prioritising your "work" time and meeting management.Yes, much of what Claire covers is not new and many other productivity experts will have also covered them. However, Claire's engaging and caring manner makes this practical book easy to navigate and to implement.

A short book with homework for people who want to be more productive
This short book is a quick read, but it comes with homework that will last a lifetime. I am researching personal productivity strategies for a new course I hope to teach in the next year or so, and originally ordered this book after catching one of Claire's webinars. This is a text version of the webinar's information, which suits my learning style. Between this book and "Do More Better" by Tim Challies, I'll be referring to both of these books often as I refine my own productivity system. Highly recommended.

Highlighter Worthy Book That Will Become a Must Re-read Book For You!
Absolutely loved this book. I found myself highlighting more of the page than was not highlighted. Rare these days. Loved her style of writing and found SO many practical takeaways that the book will easily make my "must reread list" which is rare. I couldn't recommend this book more and better for the read. Mad kudos to the author!!!

What a waste
I thought I was getting a new outlook on day management. Instead I got a tossed together batch of worn platitudes (ever heard the story about the rocks and sand in the jar? Yeah, me too...a thousand times. But here it's not even given proper attribution) that goes to fund some offbeat religious group and their "school". I love Amazon, but if this were a brick and mortar store I would be returning this junk.
