Worth the purchase, simple solution
This least complicated solution to changing my 30 gallon aquarium water is the best I've tried. Worked right out of the box, in fact, it worked well... You'll want to monitor it, it siphons water fast. And I love the end unit that keeps gravel in the aquarium. Worth the money, works well, saves time and effort.

This vacuum saved my fish and saved me from a mess
Great little vacuum for the price. It does exactly what I need for my 10gal & 5gal tanks. Filter works great for the larger pebble substrate but the plant (fluval) substrate does get through but stays in the filter end and it easily opens to let the substrate back out. The bottom of my 10gal cracked and was pouring water everywhere. Thank goodness for this vacuum working so quickly in draining the tank. I was able to save my fish and floor while the vacuum drained the water. Would definitely buy again if anything ever happened to the one I have.

Wotks ok/No instructions included
Works ok but hard to cut flow of water. Poor packaging because had ni instructions. I had to go to Amazon ad to get instructions.

Flimsy and broke immediately
I tried to use the suction device and it could not even suck enough water into the main ube and bulb to start a siphoning action. The suction is so weak that it cannot even start the water to flow so I had to fill the tube by completely submersing it to get all the air out of the tube. In the process of filling it with water, the flimsy plastic end port end broke off and cracked the plastic on the very end. Not only that, the flimsy little gasket that is supposed to create a vacuum when the bulb is squeezed does not stay in place, making impossible to create a workable suction. SO the tube is not worth the trouble because it has to be completely submerged to force all the air out (which squeezing the bulb is supposed to do). - Far too much trouble for a simple aquarium gravel cleaner! Really a waste of money for an aquarium or any other SIMPLE siphoning job.

This is perfect for cleaning all of my tanks. 40, 5.5, and a 20 long. Just a couple squeezes not hard to use.

Some parts not connected.
A few of the plastic parts are not connected so I had to use duct tape which then made it work. Cheap quality however. Wanted to use for fish tank cleaning but since there were parts not attached gluing it might affect the fish or the water. I ended up using it for draining a pool as a siphon and worked great!

Thin plastic tubing and weak hand pump and clogs easily.
The plastic turbing is very thin and the pump is very soft which makes it hard to get it to pump. The holes in the pump are small and clog easily.
