The ribbon makes the quilt look a little more ‘upscale’ and less ‘home spun’. I like that I have other colors on hand for other projects. The colors are vibrant. I ended up being glad that I had so many colors to choose from for the project. The mother of the baby wanted the bedding to be done in a vintage cowboy theme. I never thought I’d ever do brown ribbon on a baby color—unexpectedly, it became the obvious choice: the brown ribbon looks so rich against the vintage colors. The outcome has gotten tons of compliments.
