My neurologist couldn't figure out what was going on for months and just had me on an ibuprofen regimen. After the headaches continued, she decided to do a blood draw and discovered that my iron was a 6 out of 40--resulting in iron deficiency anemia which was the cause of my headaches. She put me on an iron supplement and I haven't seen her since. However, in the last three years (as much as I hate to admit this) I haven't been taking a single Iron supplement. I heard way too many things about what iron pills do to your body and I was not going to take that risk, so I just ate iron rich foods instead. Well about two months ago, I stumbled across these chewables on Amazon and decided to give them a try. I've been taking these for two months and my iron levels are almost back to normal, and the signs of iron deficiency (headaches, fatigue, lightheaded when standing up, etc) have gone significantly down (coming from somebody who barely had any iron in them to begin with). I have experienced NO SIDE EFFECTS from this supplement, which was a huge concern of mine. Although my iron levels aren't perfect, they are slowly getting there. The berry flavor reminds me of the flintstone vitamins you take as a kid---Super good!
