Almost does the job
The screws supplied to fix the non magnet part do not sit flush, this means the magnet is held away and therefore cannot exert full force retaining the door. Suggest that you find screws that sit flush, or below the level of the metal plate and then the item will do the job

You only need one per door!
One of our large kitchen doors had a habit of opening and not self closing. Not a major problem but it did make the kitchen look untidy. One of these in the centre of the door and the door now stays shut. Does what it is supposed to do and nothing really to go wrong.
