Gold jewelry and car parts. I never really thought they have anything in common. Yet they do. And if you are reading this then you already know what the common answer is; they can both be cleaned by a ultrasonic cleaner. Pint size cleaners to clean a ring or two, I have known. Big multiple liter ultrasonic machines I was not aware of. Anbull has many sizes available, and I noticed that this 4.5L is a rare size. 3 then jumping to 6L is what most of the other companies carry. Feature wise Anbull seems to do a nice job of features/quality/price. Digital vs turn a knob. 30 minutes timer, when some other brands are only 15. The larger can do an hour. This model has 3 ultrasonic transducers (motors) which provide the microbubble clean. In this size/price range some models have 2 transducers. Heater or no heater, and what max temperature also varies per brand with 80C being a decent high end. Looking at this machine it looks well made and securely put together. We wouldn’t want it to shake itself apart. The actual stainless tub, to the eye, seems smaller than I thought it would be. Most of this cleaner is stainless steel so it does have a decent weight and size in total. For auto parts and tools I would recommend going larger than this unit. The instructions are simple and so it is easy to start working quickly. Using just water has been recommended, but I guess it depends what you are trying to do. For corroded tools a cleaning agent is a necessity. Figuring out what product to add, how much time, and what temp to use will take some experimenting. These machines have a reputation for being very noisy. Which makes sense since we are dealing with metal constantly hyperspeed vibrating. Is this model quieter, I have no comparison. I can say that it’s a high pitch buzz, but it doesn’t chase me out of the room at all. I can say after hours of running this machine that it is reliable and able to handle use all day. So, for small delicate items or to save sweating over grungy items, this ultrasonic cleaner fits the bill.

Works great

While takes a bit to hit the desired and dialed in heat level it does get there (about an hour and a half), but found that is common with ultrasound cleaning machines. Noise level is not too bad, but can get annoying after awhile. Easy to use, perfect size for multiple slides, or the battery of four carbs for my Yamaha (bought this for a carb rebuild). Cleans great, love having it in my arsenal and already paid for itself cleaning parts for others. Heat level is remarkable, durable construction, and glad I bought this larger one for cheaper than a smaller one from Harbor Freight.

I got this specifically for my water pipe situation, an old bubbler. I've owned this glass piece for over 20yrs and it had this hard circular patch of resin on the bottom, under the stem. Nothing worked, I've been using alcohol and salt for that time period, 2000-01. It's been my daily piece, but I could never get this bottom rez out. Once a year, I try really hard and this time, a friend suggested a jewelry cleaner. I had to get this size because my bubbler is 8" long. This took around 5 or 6 30min intervals at 75c with a lil bit of dawn stop and water, but it worked. Basically the resin spot was this circular hard plate that had detached from the glass after hours of ultrasonic and heat. It took me around 40min to break it up along the neck and bottom, to be able to shake it out. Crazy ride to finally clean this piece.. FYI, the resin wasn't sticking to the stainless steel, so that was awesome. I also wasn't using the cash, I wanted some of that straight up glass to metal ultrasonic contact. Wash it immediately after using, its still like brand new after my 5-6hr session. Still smells new.

I purchased this unit because I wanted greater capacity for cleaning firearm brass, the real "Downside" is that it "Only Has A 1/2 Hour Timer", this requires "Babysitting" this unit because 1/2 hour is not long enough to get the cleaning solution up to the temperature needed for proper cleaning. After resetting the timer 3 times (1.5 Hours) the Ultrasonic Waves are not strong enough to clean ALL the primer pockets, the primer pockets in the brass that was in the bottom of the basket were still dirty, even after running the unit for 1.5 hours. My Gemoro that I purchased 5-28-11 cost $350.00, it has a 1-hour timer, in that 1 hour the cleaning solution is HOT, it also has a setting for "Turbo Sonic", the inside of the cases & the primer pockets all come out of that unit after 1/2 hour ALL perfectly cleaned.!! You get what you pay for, I used this unit once, the Ultrasonic Waves are not strong enough for cleaning brass. Looking for a Ultrasonic Cleaning Unit.....you can have this one "Dirt Cheap"..!!

This product is very nice. It works really well. It heats up and the timer works well. They give you a removable mesh ball for small parts and you get a nice chunk of hose for draining.

It was a pile junk. I never took it out of the box and went to use it for the first time and the sonic vibrator burnt up after 5 minutes.

cleans more things than you might think

I used it once when I got it. Worked great! I bought the correct cleaner and used it to clean a carburetor. I just went to use it a second time, refilled the unit with fresh cleaner and placed items in the basket, plugged it in, turned on the switch and I heard a loud snap and a big flash came out from underneath. I replaced the fuse in the back with the spare one, turned it back on. Everything lights up, heater comes on, led for ultrasonic is on but it's dead. Im dissapointed after spending over 300 dollars. More dissapointed that this could be a real fire hazzard. Doug

The power cord doesn't seem to connect too well. I have to fiddle with it as shown in the video. Other than that it works very well for cleaning my vintage sewing machine parts and tools.

It has stopped working.
