I was concerned about the quality, given the reasonable price. After receiving it I'm very pleased with it during installation and it's sound attentuation performance. The entire roll is very heavy, so we laid it on plywood to cut each 8' piece. Applied spray contact cement to top 16" to hold it at top. Applied heavy tape at joints and Green Glue at perimeter. Applied another layer of 5/8" drywall over this product. I liked it so much that I bought another roll.

I have never installed MLV before, so really did not know what I was seeing at first when delivered. But after issues with installing and ordering different MLV from someone else, I now see that this is substandard material, and that I was ripped off. This material does not apply to walls well, is difficult to get flat, and looks like it has sat in a hot warehouse and deteriorated over time. It also cracks and breaks way too easy. I became so frustrated when trying to install this on the ceiling that I began to research other MLV. After ordering a different brand, I now see that the quality of material and sound reduction of other, real MLV is like night and day. So, then I looked closer at Flybold. Flybold isn't even a sound company, and I do not see them selling any other sound studio products. Just type in their name into the search bar, or click their profile, and you will see for yourself. I am kicking myself for not researching this more before I ordered 2 rolls of I am not sure you can even call it MLV. I was tricked because this one claimed to have a higher STC rating than 1lb competitors (31 vs 27). I am now stuck with it as it has already been cut and installed in some walls. Live and Learn. I do not usually post Amazon reviews, but wanted to warn others that when it comes to Flybold MLV, that you should stay away from it.. Buyer Beware.

We were very excited to get these materials, however when we got them it was readily apparent that the quality was below par. The material was flimsy and tore very easily. I would not buy this again.

This has really helped dampen the sound of the walls and help make the house quieter over all. Not easy to hang up by one person so it’s definitely a two person job. You do need to buy tape to close the seams between pieces.

Very heavy duty! Package had damage but seller sent out replacement. This seller stands behind this product and although I have not put it up yet, it seems it will do exactly as they say it will. Needs 2 people to lift it.

I've gotten mass loaded vinyl from different suppliers previously but the price here was unbeatable so I got this one. I ordered 300 sqft from this supplier and the quality was so far below that of other MLV products I have worked with, it was a massive waste of money and I feel like I got scammed. One of the edges was damaged so it wouldn't lie flat, ruining about 10% of the product since I was using it under my flooring. Additionally, it felt rotten, it tears extremely easily and practically falls apart in your hands. I am terrified that it will rot completely under my carpeting and get pushed around by footsteps. Not only would this make the carpet lumpy and feel horrible, it would completely defeat the purpose of creating a sound barrier. It took me a while to install this because of delays with our carpet installer (we didn't want to just be walking on rubber floors longer than we had to) and I'm so bummed that I'm no longer within the return window. I definitely do NOT recommend this product, but if you purchase it anyway be sure to open it asap so that you can return it within the window once you realize what you've got.

It went up with just 9/16” staples. There is no give since it is vinyl so get it straight the first time. It minimizes the sound quite well. It dropped 15 decibels from inside out and 20 decibels outside in for my application.

It has mass as I was expecting I have only used the first foot and I will add more to my review as I use more of the product. Right now it fits what I need and easy to use
