My granddaughter, Bella and I took turns reading it to each other. We enjoyed following the timeline of the dog and cat made of yarn and talked about each stage. We laughed with each page. This sweet and whimsical story finds a doggie who thinks he may be a kitty, and his cute journey to enlightenment! I enjoyed the story and the playful drawings, and my great-niece has added it to her list of favorites. I highly recommend it to all those animal lovers out there- great and small!

Pretty kitty was very uplifting to share with our grandson(7yrs). Allowed us to use our imaginations and look at how animals can have the same traits but be different. Allowed us to open up conversation and relate it to life.The illustrations were great and very playful.

OMG. This is the cutest little book. Great for little kids just learning to read and beautiful illustrations to boot. H.M. Pearl brings us her quirky sense of humor and a lovable friend to learn about in the form of her doggo, Yukon. Highly Recommend!

Sweet, funny and lovely idiosyncratic pup. Great story about this nutty guy and his insistence that he's not a cat :) Wonderful illustrations really bring this story to life.

This is a really cute book for all your littles. Simple to follow for preschool and early readers, yet still relevant for older kids with a strong visual storyline.

Around 3 years old, children go through a learning phase where it's funny to say something is what it is not. This story captures that phase well.
