Amazfit if you are reading this. This is your Nokia 3310.
Amazfit if you are reading this. This is your Nokia 3310. Please bring it back with better marketing. This is the best watch Amazfit made. I have been using mine for the past four years now. The battery still lasts easily more than two weeks. Its a shame that amazfit discontinued it. They had an amazing product. The lack of vibration must have been a deal breaker for people. But for all other things this watch performs the same as any other,if not better.

Great simple smart watch
If you are looking for a “smart” watch but without all the bells and whistles, this is the watch for you. It has everything I need and none of the extras I don’t. Simple double chime alert for app and text message notification and repeating double chime alert for incoming calls. Several different health tracking options, of which, the sleep tracking and step counter are used the most. Fairly easy set up with the app. The app is user friendly once you understand it, but the included instructions are of no help. The battery life is better than my phone. I can use it for a week and it will only be down to 65% or so. Make sure you charge it for 12-24 hours before use. I love the classic old school look but I think it could use a calculator on the front;-). All in all, great “starter” or minimalist smart watch at an excellent price.

An always on screen health tracker without old, traditional "smart" features!
Been waiting for a watch like this. I was expecting something like this from Casio for ages! Amazefit beat Casio on this one! Bravo!!! This is the best watch (as of what's available on market now) for those who: 1) Want a watch to track heartbeat/steps/sleep/activities. 2) Want less frequent charging (~12-14 days. Settings: automatic HR detection & sleep assistant, freq:1min, Activity detection enabled, all notifications set to OFF) 3) Don't really care about phone notifications/events/calls - Phone is for that reason exactly, don't need a watch for that, just use the phone! All my other "smart" watches are sitting idle because it's practically difficult to charge it daily or weekly. If Amazefit is listening: Have a variant with these features and there's no stopping this becoming an absolute hit! 1) Add solar charging in addition to what it there now (I am sure Casio will come up with this, but you can be first to market to capture it) 2) Get rid of all phone notifications (This can be set via settings now, but at least this will set expectations right and optimize on BT) 3) Add O2 measurement 4)Have enough buffer on watch so that phone syncing need be done less frequently, for example only when one opens the app. (optimize BT) 5)Get rid of the circle on display and increase usable screen real estate. Hope this helps!

Everything I was looking for in a fitness tracker
This watch is criminally underrated. When I ordered mine, it had a $10 coupon, so I snagged it for $30. The instructions are lacking, but basically you just have to connect it to a phone via bluetooth and it automatically syncs the time and date which alone is worth the $30. The case is fairly slim and it just looks like a normal digital watch. It's not super bulky or uncomfortable. You have to download a companion app, but it works surprisingly well. I've used apps for other cheapy items and have been disappointed with the results, but this one is really pretty good. It allows you to set goals for steps, sleep, and calories and tracks progress toward those. Does it send all of my PHI to China? Maybe. But at least it works well. I have my doubts about accuracy of the heart rate monitor, but I care more about the consistency, which it seems to be fairly consistent. I'm more interested in tracking steps, heart rate, etc. and seeing how little changes in those things affect my overall fitness goals. I've had the watch on for a little over a week, and I'm still at a little over 50% battery life. I've swam with it several times without issue, although I never really took it deeper than maybe 3-5 ft. The app allows you to change the order of information when you cycle through "screens" on the watch, which is fantastic. I really only focus on steps and heart rate, so I was able to move those to the top of the list. I can't speak to the long-term quality, but even if I have to buy a new one every six months or so, it would still be worth it. I was looking for a very simple fitness tracker that isn't the "band" style like fitbit and not like an Apple watch. I just wanted something that looked like a normal watch. Overall I would recommend.

This the best value and simple smart watch.
Don’t want to invest in a smart watch because you don’t really use tech as much but just need something to ease into smartwatches? Do you like the inexpensive classic Casio style watches. Well this is the upgrade to that. It has the simple capabilities of a Casio watch, but just as functional and useful as a full blown smart watch. You can swim with it, play sports with it on, track heart rates, miles/steps, even show the weather! The watch is made of a hard tough plastic, and for $35, you don’t have to worry about it as much. This all I really need from a smart watch for my lifestyle because I try to track my workout but I’m not that into tracking, I always check the weather, I don’t really get much messages or always checking my notifications. It’s simple and battery lasts forever. I’ve gone 13 days and I’m just on 45%. With power saving on.

Neat idea, but very poorly executed. Cheap junk.
You will see many other bad reviews of this watch and you will think "Nah, I bet they just got a lemon. Mine will work great!" Yeah, I said that too and it was a mistake. I've ordered hundreds of items on Amazon and I believe this is the only non-defective item I have ever returned. Don't buy this watch. Don't ever buy anything made by this company, it's cheap junk being sold for cheap junk prices. This watch initially looked really cool to me, and I'd love to see a similar product done well (that is, a simpler smart watch with an LCD screen and a heart rate monitor). However, this watch is a poor product overall. Here's what I liked about the watch: - Good battery life - Nice color - Lightweight Here's what I disliked about the watch: - The heart rate monitor flat out doesn't work. If you're interested in this feature, as I was, look elsewhere. It gives obviously wrong readings while exercising (reported in many other reviews) and is only sometimes correct at resting heart rate levels. - The app used in conjunction with this watch is horrible. It's poorly thought out, buggy and generally doesn't work. As a software developer, I see so much wasted potential. - The app requires an account to log in. Why do I need to make an account with this company to use a simple watch? I assume it's so that the AmazFit can collect data on the user for their own business purposes, rather than to actually benefit the customer. - The app is required to use basic features like setting an alarm. What's the point of a watch if I need to have my phone on me to use basic features? - Some features of the watch can't really be used simultaneously - for example, you cannot go between the heart rate interface and the stopwatch interface without stopping the stopwatch. Very inconvenient for exercise. - Poor build quality - the orange markers on the watch face had small white outlines that look bad, and aren't supposed to be there. - Generally cheap feel compared to other watches that this was clearly styled after. The material isn't quite as comfortable as my Casio F91W watches, for instance. It's not that bad, but I have nicer-feeling watches that cost about half this price. Do not buy this watch. You will regret it, and then you will have to stand in line for awhile to make the return like I did, and then you will wonder if you should have just heeded my review in the first place.

I love this watch
I wish I could rate it twice, I love this watch so much. It's exactly what I'd been looking for - always-on display, step counting, sleep analysis, long battery life, water resistant. The display is great - just your typical retro digital. Clear to read, no need to shake your wrist to see the time. Step counting seems accurate. Sleep analysis is great through the Zepp app - the built in charting and sync with Apple Health all works great. Battery life seems about as advertised, around a month per charge. I've been through so many budget smart watches and bands, and this is by far my favorite. Easy to read, reliable, lightweight, with all the tracking features I need. If that is your use case, this is the perfect watch. Obviously, it doesn't have any of the advanced features the Apple Watch or other expensive "smart watches" have, so look elsewhere if those are important to you. But so far as I know, there is nothing else on the market that matches this watch for its specific set of features/weight/battery life.

Almost perfect
Ok so this watch in theory was exactly what I was looking for. I’m the kind of person that can’t justify putting an expensive piece of technology on my wrist because I know from my lifestyle that it will break or crack. I have tried the smaller fitbits which aren’t bad but my biggest gripe is the laggy touch screens and the always off display. Trying to get the screen to come on sometimes is just a pain and something as simple as looking at your watch for the time shouldn’t be that difficult. I wanted a retro-ish digital watch that always has the time on. But I really really like being able to see my heart rate throughout the day. This watch seemed to answer the call. And the price point was perfect. Overall, I really like the watch but here are a few things that are keeping it from (in my opinion) being the best “smart” digital watch ever. 1. The heart rate is really close. I would like to think that my Fitbit has one of the best heart monitors out there. I wore both for an entire day and for the most part they were very similar. I noticed that the Amazfit watch seemed to read my heart rate a few bpm higher than my FitBit. Also the Amazfit also has one spike every day. It’s always random and it’s only for one reading. But at first I thought something was wrong with me but it’s just an issue with the watch and it is consistent day to day, one big spike of almost 140bpm randomly. My biggest gripe with the heart monitoring is the app… there is no way to compare day to day because the scale changes EVERY DAY. Which is extremely frustrating. Rather than their scale starting at maybe 10 and going to 200. The bottom of the scale is whatever your lowest heart rate was for the day and the top of the scale is what your highest heart rate was for the day. This makes comparing to previous days impossible, it would be nice for the heart rate scale to be static so you could compare day to day on a fixed scale. From what I can tell it only checks your heart rate every minute unless you initiate a reading manually (which I’m not sure how to do) but that being said, this thing is garbage for tracking workouts. Especially if your workouts are sporadic. It would be really nice if this watch could do real-time heart monitoring or even have a workout tracking feature to monitor workouts. 2. The buttons get touched accidentally. This isn’t a big deal but I think they could have come up with a better design to protect the side buttons from being pushed by mistake. Also the buttons always make a beep sound when you push them (I’m sure you can turn it off in settings) but for the most part I like the beeps. Except when you’re in a meeting and you are getting texts. Your watch will beep when you get texts (if you have that set up) and to disable it you need to find the DND option on the watch, but every time you click a button to scroll through the options, it beeps… you’re better off just taking the watch off and sitting on it otherwise you will be making a bunch of unnecessary sounds just to silence your watch. 3. It does have a weather feature which is cool but I wish it would tell you the current temperature and not just the high and low for the day… 4. Steps seem to differ greatly from my Fitbit. I don’t know which device is correct but this device only counts about HALF the steps that my Fitbit would. I like to think Fitbit has their stuff down since they’ve been in the game for so long so I’m going to have to say that this device must be the problem. 5. Mine has an issue with the battery reading. It seems to get stuck in the 60% area. And no matter how long I have it on or charge it, it just seems to get stuck… it resolves itself after some time but obviously is not a good indicator of actual battery life. 6. In standard time (not military time) it will still display 12:00AM as 00:00. Which is obnoxious but I’m used to it by now. Now reasons I really like it, it seems like the build quality is nice especially for a $40 watch. I have only had it about a month and it’s already starting to lose some of the printed words in ink, they are just wearing off. The battery life is incredible. It has a feature where the screen will illuminate automatically when you tilt your wrist although that isn’t perfect and I wish there was a simple button to push to quickly illuminate the screen like the old G-Shocks have. Rather than trying to hold a side button for a few seconds. I think it is awesome that it does read heart rate. That’s my favorite part of watches and this is the only “digital” watch I could find that does that. I like that you can customize the menu options and the order of which the options are in the watch. I removed some default options and added others. I also reorganized them to make more sense with the up and down keys. I think a lot of the issues I’m facing could be resolved with firmware or software. And it would make this watch that much better.
