My brother recommended this particular guillotine slicer for the special salumis that he uses. When he gifted me several chubs of these delicious Italian cured sausages, I had to get one for myself. It works beautifully, slicing the meats wafer thin. You'll want to practice your slicing technique to get that just right thickness. Be very careful, because the blade is extremely sharp. The slicer does feature a locking device for when not in use.

This apparatus is my dream gadget. I am particular about my salami and only eat the good stuff I bring from Europe....where everybody has a slicer. I like think perfect cuts to eat on sandwiches or to put on cheese plates. This one works PERFECTLY. no issues, no concerns. The only thing I'd change if I had to find something is that it needs English instructions. I figured out how to use it no problem, but it was only by accident that I realized the blade mechanism came out easily to clean. I thought I'd broken it and then discovered it was made to do that so it could be cleaned. YEAH I'd just been wiping it down real good...don't tell anybody I'm a teacher and it took me a month to figure out how to clean it LOL.

Excellent product, easy to use and clean!

This is the second so apero slicer that I have bought. The first slicer I bought worked so well with everyone at dinner, all slicing . It,s easy to use and a lot of fun for everyone. I have now bought the second slicer as a Xmas present for my daughter and her partner.

I bought a whole Goteborg sausage but could not find anyone that owned a meat slicer that could slice the sausage super thin for me. I live in Hawaii and we love making UFO’S, Goteborg sausage musubi. I didn’t want to buy a huge electric meat slicer so I ended up buying this product. I’m glad I did. Inexpensive, easy to store, fun to use, easy to clean, and it cut the sausage thin and clean. I’m so happy I bought this sausage slicer!

The blade and idea is Amazing 5/5 stars BUT… Listen this is entirely made of wood and by that means when you put water to clean the wood becomes more porous and it doesn’t fit in that tight spot to slide. Idk how no one even mentioned this do you guys never Wash this???
