These led lights were meant for a specific project, however upon using them in the planned application, they became too hot and overheated the arduino that was driving it. This is largely due to them being in a quite enclosed space. I ended up repurposing them for under shelf lighting and it looks and works great.

Just finished installing a strip under a bathroom vanity with a pre-wired plug. Couldn't have been easier, took about 5 minutes. Still too early to say anything about reliability, but they were easy to install, look good, and are quite bright.Here are some observations:- The specs claim 9w/meter. Using a cheap 24v 1a power brick from Amazon (24w), that works out to a max run of a little over 8 ft. Get a 2a power supply if you want to go longer (they're about the same price). In either case, get one with a female DC wire connector so you can just screw in the wires.- The ad copy is wrong in one place- it suggests it's only cuttable every 1.96ft. They mean 1.96 inches.- With the power brick I bought, it takes about 1 sec for the strip to come on when plugged in. Most likely an issue with the power supply and not the LED strip.One negative: While the light strip comes pre-wired with a soldered-on lead, I needed two segments, so I cut the strip in half and using a snap-down connector to wire the second segment to the second power supply. These strips did not work well with the "LightingWill 10pcs Pack Strip Wire Solderless Snap Down 2Pin Conductor LED Strip Connector for 8mm Wide 3528 2835 Single Color Flex LED Strips". The contacts on the strip are on the outside edge, but the matching contacts on the connector are somewhat inward, so I had to do a bit of bending/prying to get them to match up, and even then there's some flicker due to poor connection. I'll probably have to solder the leads to get it working reliably.

These bookshelves were in a dark corner. I drilled the shelf corners and ran the lighting strips. Works perfectly.

This is simply perfect! I had “regular” LED strips in the past but I wasn’t happy with the effect, they weren’t bright enough and had dark gaps between the lights. I read about the COB LED strip lights in a decoration magazine, and decided to give it a try. I am amazed with the results! The strip has a perfect continuous light (without any dark spots at all!) and it is very bright. My living room now looks like one of those million dollar living rooms from magazines :-) These lights give a very sophisticated and expensive look to any ambient. I never thought I could have my house looking this great for such a low price. Also, the adhesive layer from the back is the real 3M brand, which is the best in the world and it stays in place for good once you stick it to walls or furniture. The seller is also very courteous and fast in replying, which to me makes all the difference when choosing a supplier here on Amazon. If you are like me, concerned about quality products and perfect customer service, look no further. You will be 100% satisfied for sure!

These are SO much better than those other kind of LED strip lights with the light and dark patches all along the strip: Brighter and one long, pure length of 2700K light which indeed seems CRI 90 (+). They DO come in waterproof variants, but since the pictured steps are covered from the elements, I took my chances and just used the 'indoor' kind for these external entryway stairs. They work well with light sensitive motion sensors to really 'pop' when someone approaches. I now am looking everywhere around the house to get with the 21st century: "Buh-BYE incandescent rope lights, unwanted black holes anywhere, and florescent anything. Note: You WILL need to also buy the plug/transformer, and make sure it's rated at 2A for the full length of this strip.

I am a long-time electrical contractor with much experience always interested in giving the customer exceptional quality using quality products. I bought this COB LED light for a personal project for a pot shelf in my house to experiment. In this case I installed it in an aluminum channel (see image). I like to try a product out on myself before I offer it to others. I am very satisfied with the result. The soft, even glow that is emitted is very pleasing-much better than the spotty effect of the standard LED strip lights. And it is bright, as well. It works really well with a dimmer switch for more ambiance. Sometimes I just go into this room, turn on this light, and just look at it; it is so enjoyable. I think I'll order another one for under the pool table. I look forward to greater selections in the future (like colors).

Used some of the light strip to illuminate the interior of my 3D printer. Very even light - no spots. Very incandescent like - if someone didn't see the light source, you would swear it was coming from an incandescent bulb. Very pleased. I was a little nervous soldering wires to it, but no problems - just make sure you pre-solder the contacts with proper soldering iron and flux. The strip does have the contacts pre-soldered every 500mm (every 10th contact), however, these didn't fall where I needed them - it was nice that they did that, though. BTW, the contacts/cutting spots are 50mm apart. Very pleased with the results.
