I read about it on a blog when I was trying to find extremely gold lipstick. Someone had used it over another lipgloss and got a brilliant gold. I got it, and was a little skeptical since it looks a bit copper/reddish in the pot. I put it on over metallic silver Ka'Oir Lip paint and was SO happy. It was the gold I was looking for! I have also since used it on my eyelids. It lasts a long time, I never need to reapply, and most importantly, it doesn't "shed," being a contact lens wearer I deal with a lot of painful moments when something flakes or gets into my eye. I never notice that with this, and it is not gritty in the least, very fine.
