Brushes away the competition with ease.
This really is a great brush. It costs almost as much as my razor, a Merkur 34C, but it is quite comfortable and worth it if this will be brushing around your face. I have fairly sensitive skin around the cheeks, and got pretty messed up after using a rotating acne brush, so using a brush was actually what gave me the most concern when thinking of getting into shaving with a DE razor. The first brush I got was more of an impulse buy, and was made of some pretty cheap material that did not go well with my skin at all due to the rough ends of the bristles, but I'm glad I found this brush shortly after. This brush can be great for anyone, but it is especially great for those with sensitive skin. The bristles are soft at the tips, but there is still plenty of backbone to the brush. I use a tube of Proraso when shaving, and consistently get a thick and rich lather. The build quality is fantastic, and I love that cream/ivory color to the handle. Great brush, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Stiffer-Bristled Synthetic Brush
I have several synthetic brushes and have definitely gravitated toward those with more backbone (like the “tuxedo” bristles). I really prefer my badger and boar brushes because they are stiffer, even if the tips are not quite as soft. But this Simpsons brush immediately became my favorite synthetic. It is very soft against the face, but the bristles have strong backbone. It doesn’t just immediately collapse like other synthetics when I apply some pressure, either to load it with soap or against the face. It’s a Simpsons, so no big surprise that’s it’s great. Of course, being a synthetic, there is no funky animal smell, it dries quickly, and there’s no need to pre-soak it before use. This immediately became my go-to synthetic and would be a great travel brush. It performs very well - whips up a great lather and feels oh so soft against the face. It’s a great looking brush as well (I got the ebony one). Nice weight, too. You can pay a lot less for a synthetic shave brush, but this Simpsons brush is definitely worth the price. Is it “Simpson” or “Simpsons?” They use both on their website and literature. No version with an apostrophe, though. The brush says “Simpson” on it but the box says “Simpsons.”

Great Brush!! Soft, Holds More Water Than You Need and Makes Great Lather
I'm new to wet shaving, so I have no other experience with a shaving brush to reference this one with. I watched numerous videos before buying ANYTHING related to wet shaving. Ohio Shaves on YouTube loved this brush, so I bought and I'm very glad I did. There are cheaper brushes, but also much more expensive ones, so I still gave it 5 stars for Value for Money. I'm extremely happy with this brush and don't feel the need to experiment with others, whereas I've bought multiple different DE razors and blades. It's nice to have at least ONE stable aspect to my new wet shaving hobby. Here are my pros and cons:PROS:-Soft -Feels great-Absorbent - Does a great job picking up water. I usually have to shake and squeeze it out or it can pick up too much water, which is a good thing.-Make Great Lather - I use a very small amount of Sandalwood Shave Cream from Tayloy on Old Bond Stret and just push down into the bowl whiles stirring and the lather kind of explodes in the bowl.-Looks - I bought the black handle T3 and it looks great on our bathroom counter. I have a marble bowl which is scratching the finish a little, but that probably wouldn't be an issue in a plastic or porcelain bowl.CONS:-None really. Maybe price? $43 seemed kind of expensive for a synthetic brush, but cheap compared to some badger and boar brushes. Anything cheaper could be real junk, so I didn't hunt for something to save $10+/- after seeing a bunch of glowing reviews on YouTube and Amazon.I highly recommend this brush, but then again I have no experience with other brushes. My experience with this one has been great and i would buy it again.

a quality synthetic bristle brush from a well known brand in Shaving Brushes.
I bought this brush for my Girl as part of a Valentines day gift.I prefer Boar Brushes myself but this is a synthetic bristle brush. I figured this would be low maintenance and easy to care for. as synthetic brushes go this one is a little on the expensive side but it is a Simpson and this brand is well known and liked when it comes to Shaving Brushes.

Great Lathering Brush, but a Bit Stiff for Face Lathering
I’ve been impressed with the Alexander Simpson Trafalgar Synthetic Shaving Brush overall. It generates a fantastic lather when used in a bowl, making it a solid choice for those who prefer bowl lathering. The bristles feel very soft on my face, which is a big plus, and unlike some brushes, there’s no strange smell right out of the box. That said, I’ve found that face lathering with this brush is a bit more challenging. The brush has a lot of stiffness to it, and while it can still get the job done, it doesn’t have the same ease of use as a boar or badger brush when it comes to working up a lather directly on your face. It’s certainly not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you prefer face-lathering.Overall, it’s a high-quality, well-made brush that performs exceptionally well in a bowl, but the stiffness may require a bit more effort for face lathering.
