RIOGOO 24x52cm Seedling Heat Mat and Thermostat Controller 20-42°C Digital IP68 Waterproof (Heated Mat + Controller)

I have had this heat mat for over a month now and so far it has been just the job! I have already germinated two lots of tomatoes, one lot of Thai aubergines, some cucumber plants and I am now germinating some sweetcorn and kohl rabi. The device is easy to use. You simply lay the map out and put a waterproof tray on top with some individual trays contained within and cover it with a plastic propagator lid. The temperature is easy to adjust by simply pressing and holding ‘set’ and using the up or down arrows to the temperature you want, anything up to 42°C. I can’t really speak for the accuracy as I haven’t tested it with any other temperature monitoring device but all I can say is that it this heat mat seems to be of good quality and has worked for me. I’m very happy with my purchase, especially since we’re having such a rotten start to the year in the south of England!

I'm using the heat mat for seedlings and after 2 day there's already signs of life. The mat works very well, is the perfect size and is easy to set and regulate the thermostat as required. Highly recommend this for anyone trying to propagate seeds quickly. Fantastic item, simple to use and well worth the outlay!

Easy to set up, temperature probe cable is a decent length. Can fit three half seed trays. Has been keeping a variety of succulent seeds at 24.5-25degC for a week and some have already germinated successfully (adenium obesum, fockea edulis and pachypodium saundersii). Can only set to whole degrees so better to set to a degree higher than your minimum temperature, but great for the price.

Great heat mat for raising plants as the temperature can be controlled.

As a combination this is great. A word of warning I use this to brew beer, so notes are applicable to that. The temp control unit has a range of about 3 - 42 degrees C... I realise that the heat mat clearly can't cool, and is unlikely to go that high, but it does give room for control if needed. My brews typically want to be around 20 degrees, so setting to this is very easy and it controls the mat nicely. The temperature probe is on a long lead, and has mounting sucker if needed. Likewise the leads on the plug and control unit are also plenty long enough. All in all, it seems to be a very a capable combination. Depending on your needs, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Great product, seemed to help our seeds germinate indoors rapidly. The temperature control setting seems inadequate however, because setting to 18 degrees for instance results in temps ranging between about 16 and 21 as the days go by.

A very good item. I use it as a low watt cupboard heater.
