Jury still out. Tends to get stuck on the same 'obstacle' (leaving most of the floor untouched)
Jury still out.It seems to obsess over areas it gets stuck on and doesn't remember where it gets stuck so it can avoid the area. We have a thick mat at a door and the robot seems to go there all the damn time - even though its drop sensors get triggered and it gets stuck.Yes, I could put down the magnetic strip. But.. for a mat? Really? The 1m strip provided isn't nearly long enough to cover it.Out of a few weeks of cleaning overnight, it's maybe made its way back to the charging point 30% of the time. The rest of the times it's stuck on the mat or under something. When it works, it seems to do pretty well -but the AI needs work. Is it truly dumb or can it at least try to avoid these problem areas until the end of the cleaning cycle??Update. Oh well. Looks like it's dead. Can't charge and can't switch it on. Will check the manual but looks like it's going back.

Brilliant Robot Vacuum cleaner - Integration with Alexa works smoothly !!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This robot vacuum cleaner is a great addition to smart home gadgets we own.Having it owned for close to 2 weeks - without a doubt this is one of the best smart gadgets we had purchased in the recently past. Its a greatly designed smart Robot VC which works efficiently and most importantly - Very effectively.Out of the box it looks super cool and quality of the make is not compromised. It does require a bit of initial configuration to integrate it with amazon alexa also have a direct option to control it via app or via the remote if you do not own alexa at home. It does work effectively both on carpet and more effective on the wooden surfaces. Its Smart Self-Charging feature works brilliantly. Post integration with alexa, I am now in position to auto schedule the cleaning process at the end of the day.. Its great to wake up to see the cleaned living room area. No complaints at all.The fact its light weight and slim design makes it easy to store and carry around the house when required.Very happy with it so far and highly recommended !!

How did I live without it?
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I kept looking for an affordable robot vacuum cleaner for ages until, during prime day, I found this Hosome with an additional 60£ voucher off. I don't know how i lived without it, i'm really surprised by its quality. Picks up all the dust and crumbles from both laminate and carpet very accurately. Plus it has a water tank with a mop that washes the floor too! Has got proximity sensor to avoid obstacles, a bumper which won't ruin furniture and comes with magnetic stripe to stick on area to avoid like pet zone. I will buy another one for my parents for Christmas.

Good cleaner and good investment
I do really like this vacuum cleaner but there are 3 complaints to make about it. The connection with Alexa is very limited. Powers on at the most but also annoyingly turns on when I ask Alexa to turn on my lights as the vacuum cleaner is registered as a light on Alexa devices and will not change to vacuum cleaner. The next problem is the length of time you get cleaning off a full charge is not 100. The most time I’ve had it cleaning from 100% charge is 45 mins. Finally the vacuum sometimes gets caught on the slightest obstacle and it will be stuck there till you retrieve it. Besides these issues, generally the vacuum does a great job and my apartment flooring is consistently maintained without me having to invest hardly any time in the cleaning process which is what I wanted it for. I’m not lazy, I just prefer to use my time for other things that are more important like family time and making money.

Extremely poor battery life - gives up after just 30mins
I have had a number of robot hoovers over the last 14 years - all sorts of brands - so consider I know a fair bit about what constitutes a good robot hoover. Our last one broke over Christmas and Amazon refunded under warranty. I read all the reviews before buying this one two days ago.The first issue we had was buying spare parts (I always do this first as by the time you need them, you can’t buy them). I managed to get the side brushes and filter but not the main brush. Not idea but that will do.We set it up really easily, and set the app up well. Little tip - don’t register it until you have used it as the company bribe with money back if you leave a good review and screen shot it (I wonder how much that influenced the other reviews??)The second issue we had was that we charged the hoover over night and set it going. It completely ignored every edge and stopped approx 10cm from the walls! Most hoovers (including this one) have an edge cleaning option as an extra function but all previous hoovers went right up to the walls and skirting board. The third issue was that the hoover shot across the room did a quick about turn and attempted to leave the room!! We were a bit surprised as we expected the large room to be cleaned first. I know done hoovers use random patterns and others go up and down but this one did neither! The fourth issue was that it simply couldn’t get over the tiny raised strip between the kitchen floor and the carpeted hall. We ended up giving it a push. That’s pretty useless for us as we usually schedule a run around first thing before we get up. But I guess we would have had a clean kitchen! The next issue was that the hoover bypassed the hall by whizzing down it. It found the sitting room where I started to play with the app. This is where I found my biggest problem. I discovered that for the 4 minutes total of use (from new after a full overnight charged battery) there was only 77% left!! It had literally moved about 10 metres in total. We left it running and at 33% it decided it needed recharging and tried to head home. The next issue was that it got stuck on the edge of a child’s toy - a flat board about 1cm high. It couldn’t get off it at all. Again useless for us when we need a hoover just to get on with things and not be babysat. It beeped annoyingly when it got stuck. We helped it home. However the suction was superb and the bin was fairly full even on that small amount. So that was a positive. So we thought we would charge it up and let it finish off later even though two runs a day is a bit excessive to do one floor. We forgot to do a second run so the hoover got a full overnight charge again. So I set it off again this morning. It spent much longer in the kitchen which was good although I would prefer and up and down striped pattern to randomness. At least then I know roughly where it’s been. However within 31 minutes the battery was back down at 32% and the hoover was on its way back home. It hadn’t even reached the sitting room or other downstairs room today. Just the kitchen and hall! Our old hoover would do all 3 downstairs rooms and the hall thoroughly and still have plenty of charge left. Yet the old hoover had a smaller battery capacity than this one.Having a hoover that only does part of my house on a battery charge is useless! A robot hoover should be able to do our ground floor - all our others did - even the cheapest one - and this was the most expensive one I’ve owned for many years. It was a quick decision to box it back up and request a return from the fabulous Amazon. We will go and buy the same brand as before.Robot hoovers can be quite high maintenance when you have children (picking up toys and untangling clothes) but given this can’t cope with even small ledges then I knew we would have constant issues with toys too.Probably the worst Robot hoover we have owned because of the battery life which was a shame as I fancied trying the mop out!
