This set is really nice, Not only does it come with an instruction book for modelers who are just beginning to learn weathering techniques, but it has all the colors needed already mixed to bring realism to any project you have. I love Vallejo acrylic paints as they are easy to use and, because they are water based, they are easy to clean up. If you want to add that touch of realism to your next project than I recommend this set.

I love Vallejo paints and how well they are used in my airbrush with just very little thinning needed. They covered the models that I have used them on and I am more than happy with this set. This set is definitely worth the money. But it and see for yourself!

Well yes I shall say more lol. I had a large order and this was the only item intact. The cardboard box and everything stayed intact and didn't spill. Having said that, this was an amazing value because if was looking at the same paint, but in individual bottles. I would of payed double or triple doing that. This kit comes with everything needed to make rust. There are many types and shades of rust so keep that in mind. The kit comes with directions plus detailed pictures showing brush and airbrush techniques. The paints with AIR on the label is designed and pre diluted for airbrush, just add paint and spray. The other paints also spread and spray well without issues. A little goes a long way from my experience. Cleaning up is also easier then the other paints I use. With water or rubbing alcohol it cleans up really fast. Use the paints in layers or separately as I have. Definitely will purchase this set again if needed.

Well put together, amazing paint and pigment quality. Ease of use is top notch if you want weathering without oil washes. For a water based system, it works beautifully. Don't expect the same results as a sealed piece that's then been oil washed. Worked great for my Gaslands/Mad Max 1/64 scale tabletop scratch build where I could use oils.

Vallejo have perfectly curated a set of paints here for creating layers of oxidation on models. Even just using one or two of these colors will create believable weathering, but the more you add the better it looks. It's a set that is worth every penny and gives you your money's worth many times over. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't come with chipping medium, which is pretty vital to the process. If you're a first-timer like I was, there is no indication that you'll need to buy this vital product separately until you've read the instructions in the box. Speaking of, the instruction sheet by "Scratchmod," whoever that is, explains the process well enough and will make you more than competent in creating rust effects. But the instructions aren't very clear at first. I took to YouTube to get the hang of how the paints are to be used. After that I was able to use the instruction sheet to keep the order in which the colors are applied straight in my mind. Don't let any of that stop you from getting these paints, though. Once you master the relatively small learning curve you'll be able to make any miniature look as battered and battle-worn as you please.

I got a more realistic rust effect using these paints than other acrylic paints I've used. The wash is great too.
