ASICS Men's Gel-Excite 7 Running Shoes

A bit stiff and does not hold up over more than a few months, or under 100 miles...Still, for the price it's a good neutral shoe.

I didn’t expect much. I just needed some comfortable shoes for around the house, man cave, and yard. These fit very well. And they were a great deal.

I started wearing Asics a while back, because I had heard of their reputation. I've only been going for the inexpensive Asics, not the really expensive ones, but they are doing fine for me.I have one pair that I have worn over 4 continents, and I still have them. They're a little rough now, but I keep them around for sentimental reasons.The cheaper ones that I buy seem to fall apart in two areas - the cushioning behind the heel, and the bottom of the sole. That's not to say that they fall apart quickly; it's just after years of use that's where the breakage point comes. I mitigate this by wearing thick socks and/or heel cushioning, and occasionally I have had to reglue the sole. But for the price, I usually just buy another.

Just what I wanted; comfort, great fit, solid dependability.

I am an avid exerciser. I typically lift weights 2-3 times per week and run about 3 times a week. I was looking for a pair of good athletic shoes for under 60 bucks. I could not be more happy with these Asics Excite 7s.Fit: these are true to size. Toe box is roomy enough but doesn't make it feel like your feet are swimming in these shoes. I lace my shoes with the "heel lock" and they fit very comfortably. The heel is firm and hugs the back of my ankle. No blisters after many miles!I've put 10+ miles on them so far and have had no issues and my feet have felt great!Performance: for a pair of "budget" running shoes these are outstanding! They provide good cushioning and absorb a lot of the impact when planting your foot. They provide enough "bounce" to make my runs feel easier.I shaved 30 seconds off my time per mile in these shoes.Style: nothing too fancy. They look great with jeans as well as my running gear.There are better shoes out there but you will pay much more for them. These represent a nice balance of style, performance and price.I highly recommend these for walking, running, and general exercise!💪

Got these and happy they were better than last ones we received because those the back was crushing in.

One reason I like ASICS is they have remained "the same" over time, so I know a new pair will work the same as the old. This one is completely different with different materials.Interesting new construction - it will take wearing to see if it is as good as the traditional ASICS construction that used the "stripes" to add structure. So, "we'll see." But, the sock liner/insole is flat - no arch at all. And, no arch built into the shoe itself. It hasn't seemed to bother me yet in simple walks up to three miles. But I'm concerned that running would be different. All my previous ASICS shoes were great for me - and my need for arch support. If this doesn't work, I'll pull out the sock liner and use some old orthotics that I know will fit. The outsole, too, is not "cushiony" as the old pairs. No gel, or cushion mid-sole that I can see. The biggest difference is that when you first put them on and walk in them, there is no "cushiony" bounce or "new running shoe" feel. These may be better for just every-day knock-about wear rather than running.

The item advertised is 4E width (ie. extra wide) but I received a regular-width shoe. This was disappointing. However, contrary to another review I saw here, the return was fast and easy, and my money was refunded. I've just ordered an extra-wide shoe directly from ASICS.So: beware if you're expecting an extra-wide shoe.

Fabric at TOE separated after 3 months periodic use. Advised not to buy, as I feel this is not acceptible.

普段の街歩き用に購入。サイズ感はちょうど良く、ブルーの色は派手過ぎず味わい深い色で期待通り。アシックスのゲルなんちゃらは種類によってソフトだったりハードだったりいろいろだが、この製品は超ソフト！ソール全体というよりインソールがふわっふわな感じです。歩いてると常に足裏にふわふわ感を意識させられるという個性派シューズ。正直これが気持ち良いのか良くないのかよくわからないが、悪くはない。軽いし疲れにくいしおすすめではあります。
