Not built to the same standards as in the past
I had great hopes for this remote wireless as I have used a prior model for more than 20 years with great success. In this model, though, the temperature set buttons were stiff and hard to use. I did find the temperature probes to be accurate. The whole point of this tool, though, is to set temperature ranges and receive alerts when temperatures reach them. The real killing point of the deal, though, was that the alarm feature simply did not work properly. It would alarm every few minutes regardless of its setting. I tried fiddling with it to see if it was just touchy, like the temperature set buttons. Couldn't get it to work. Returned it. I am really disappointed because I had found a good product 20 years ago. Now I am looking again. Update note: more than 2 weeks past the time the return and refund was processed and more than 1 week after the return was noted as received by Amazon, there is still no refund to my credit card. The "3 to 5 days" on the refund explanation page is far from accurate.

Failed on my 3rd use
I have spent more time communicating with their tech service via email than actually using the unit, and I still cannot get it to work properly. From the images you can see the device gets stuck in alarm mode and delivers two completely different sets of readings. No one answers the phone at their office and the tech service people clearly do not know how to use the unit....rather than answer questions, they just ask me to mail the unit back to them. I do not have that kind of time.

Returned
Wasn't accurate, I compared it to my inkbird, grill probe and thermapen. Bought this bc many of the bbq forum users buy maverick as the budget option. With the price of beef going up and enough work in smoking a brisket for a large group, I rather spend more for something more dependable. Returned and got a thermowork smoke thermometer.

Great range and fairly accurate
One of the first thing I did after putting it together was boil some water and checked the temp readings on all the probes. All the temps were within 0.2 degrees of each other and 0.5 degrees under 212 or about 1% low.My first use of the thermometer was on a brisket with the point and flat separated smoked in a Big Green Egg, so having three probes, one for each hunk of meat and one for the BGE came in very handy. At 70 ft I found the range of the transmitter to be excellent. No hiccups even after a 12-hour cook.

Loses signal constantly. Made in China garbage.
The temperature is accurate when it doesn’t lose signal which is constantly. I will never buy from this company again

Simple
We use this everytime we bbq. We had a different one before this but it was very complicated to use. This one is very simple. Really easy to use. My husband loves this one.

Accurate and dependable
I had used a friends Maverick XR-50 and really liked it, bought one for me and used it to cooked four briskets. I used a Thermonpen to make sure my reading and the Maverick was right on with the Thermopen.
