And since most wet brushes aren't great for thick, textured hair either, I thought I'd try this style of brush.I like the bristles, they're not too stiff but not too soft either. They aren't glued in like some paddle brushes, so it's less likely to snap out of the base. And the final positive is that it brushes from the scalp to the root without pulling the hair or snagging. Especially impressive on unrelaxed roots.However, the way this brush is designed is very uncomfortable to hold. With resistant hair, I need something to grip, and there's really no good way to grip this brush, other than palming it like a handle-less brush. And it also doesn't smooth the hair like a paddle brush would; it adds volume. The last thing I need is more volume on already voluminous hair.
