Very impressed! Update 4/16/24
These seeds germinated quickly and at a great rate. Sowed in mid September in an un heated greenhouse in central NY ….They survived multiple single and 0 temps under just frost cover … these pictures are my 3rd cutting so far… had 50s last week and they took off. Excellent variety for winter production and an abundant spring harvest.4/16/24 just finished cutting # 5 another 4 3/4 lbs of beautiful GIANT spinach!!Tried to post a picture but couldn’t add to my gallery for some reason but trust me it’s beautiful spinach!!

Great for winter growing
I have a greenhouse with several beds along an outside wall that do not get very warm. This winter spinach is a great product for growing along these outside walls. This seed will not germinate in warmer climates!

From a lot of seeds comes only 3 feeble plants
I planted the seeds in the middle of September here in NE PA. The weather has been cool to cold at night (middle 40s to middle 50s) since August. And since August, day time temps have been in the middle 70s to upper 60s. Only 3 feeble plants have decided to grow. What's up with the non-germinating seeds?

Winter spinach.
The winter big leaf spinach had a very good germination rate. Now about 2-3 inches tall. Survived the first freeze as expected. Very pleased with the seeds.

Suitable for growing in cold areas
I planted six winter vegetables last October. Only this variety has survived the winter. Their leaves are big and delicious. I can eat a plate of spinach every week.
