Great flood effect out of these lights BUT you still get decent distance on them too. Love that they don't have a stupid motion sensor. I'd consider them flood AND SPOT lights (for my application) since the light travels so far. They really work good on the corners of the house with the 3 separate panels, fills the entire backyard with usable light and no dark-spots. Getting light to much more of the property than the standard 2 Bulb lights they're replacing. They are about 35' apart in the photo. They don't 'stick out' as far as the old lights, less noticeable and sleek.Use a long skinny phillips screwdriver or a 1/4" ratchet to mount with the single screw to the center of the electric box housing. This light comes with the electric box adapter (cross member) that the light screws into. Regular AC connection and should be connected to a standard light switch.I'll by 2 more for the front of the house and above the garage next year if these hold up good.Review of the ReviewsI was looking at some of the negative reviews:-Junk / move with wind - ///This dude should have someone else install them. A great light to set up under your eve. I've now installed over a dozen of these between four houses. The motion detector works fine but it has to be up under a protective eve or it fills with water, and to clarify yes it was put with the motion sensor down and installed correctly. These work incredibly well and are very easy to position but no they are not effective as an eve mounted unit, they must be wall mounted or a number of issues become very apparent quickly. The face of the lights is waterproof and effective everything else relies on it draining out the bottom so as not to fill up with water. I recommend you seal everything with silicone including the rotating arms for the two side lights and the ball joint that goes down to the motion sensor not just between the back plate and the house. There are a number of different styles and lumen outputs with these lights each one has their place and I would recommend them all.

I built a 24x64 shop this summer and wanted to put these lights above the garage door to light up the outside area in front of the garage door. I hung the light about 11 feet above grade. This light easily and brightly illuminates the 30x30 area in front of my garage door. Very simple to install: ground, neutral, and a hot lead. I wired mine into a switched circuit so I can flip it on and off just like any other light. My wife and I are both very surprised how much light you get from such an affordable light. The fact that it has three different, pivoting light heads is a bit of an added bonus. Overall, very satisfied for a light that is better and half the cost than a typical motion sensor unit that you'll find at a big box store.

We replaced a motion detection light for this one. It works a lot better for our needs, mainly for the dog to go out at night. It is a lot brighter then the one we took down, and I can turn it off and on whenever needed.The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was the ability to turn the outer lights a little further. But it is a great product, and for the price, I do recomend it.

This is not a motion sensor light, there are some confusing reviews. I bought this to use in my backyard, over my patio porch and operated with a switch. Pulled the other light down and it took me about 5 minutes to install this one. Really good looking light and I've had several people comment on the look and the brightness. Initially, I had to drive by the backside of the yard since we back-up to a road in our subdivision. Going one direction I got hit with glare so I directed that side slightly lower, other side was fine. Lit up an entire section of the yard including the pool area. Very clean white light, I love the way it looks and dogs seem to like it too. One thing to note, you will not be sitting outside under the light, at least not on the setting I have it on, it's bright and almost obnoxiously so but that's what I wanted.

Super bright

I had bought a plastic light, very much like this one, but it arrived broken in three pieces. This aluminum fixture arrived in perfect working condition and is BRIGHT. The side lights are adjustable so the light can be distributed across a wide section, or concentrated in one place if the sides are placed directly next to the larger center light.I really like that it isn't controlled by a motion detector but can simply be turned on at a light switch and left on all night long. And because it used LEDs it uses a fraction of the electricity of my old halogen light.I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a fixture that runs all night, controlled by a switch instead of having it go on and off all night long with motion,
