I bought this for leather tooling and stamping. As soon as I started using it, the head of the hammer became loose. I tightened it and it would keep loosening as I used it. Finally my husband tightened it for me and it hasn't come loose since. So you might have to tighten that handle. Other than that little glitch, it's been great.

Works great for stamping, not too heavy so I can withstand using it for long periods. The screw comes loose often and I have to constantly tighten it as I go.

was going to go with a more expensive hammer, but i'm cheap so I figured I'd give this one a shot before spending more, and I'm glad I did! it is of good quality, and has a comfortable amount of weight on it.

Works great for less then half the price of the expensive ones. I did have to lock tite the threads as it kept coming loose at first but after that no issues

I don't us it as intended. I cast my own bullets and use it on the mold to cut of the excess lead. Much easier on the mold and the weighted end applies just the right amount of force.

Works great for opening the sprue plate on my lead casting mold.

Just recently got into leather crafting and bought this to learn how to carve. While I love the weight of this mallet, it continuously becomes loose from the handle. I'm not too confident I can use this for patterns or to hammer into the leather too hard as the nylon feels pretty soft and the handle loosens every time. I get the feeling the wood handle will crack if I tighten this too hard. Not sure.

Very well-made and good feel for the price. This was the best that I could find online.

Just the size I was looking for. Heavy enough to get good stamping, but light enough not to tire out your arm holding it. Only issue is it's not screwed down tight so as you use it the screws all start coming loose. Going to have to glue it all together to stop it from happening

Used for a couple hours so far stamping leather.No issues.Would recommend.

I bought some thread locker for the screw head to try and keep it from unscrewing on its own. Hopefully it works. We’ll see.
