Parent like a Triplet: The Definitive Guide for Parents of Twins and Triplets

Best way to spend your bedrest!
I’ve wanted to read a book on multiples as a soon to be mother of twin boys. But I didn’t want to read one based on a parents opinion of why their parenting style was so great or a psychiatrist/twin specialist with their pysochobabble. Kari is so real and down to earth! She started this book before having her children so it really shows the true heart of a child and all the raw emotion and feeling of growing up as an identical multiple and the joys and struggles that it brings. You really get to feel her grow through her journey into adult hood and see how in the end her and her sisters are closer together than ever (with the help of a few brief “pauses” along the way). Besides her own candid story telling she also covers some of the best twin and multiples studies, researchers and authors. I already have ordered 3 other books based off of her recommendations. I really wish I could meet and hug this wonderful woman and her sisters. They’ve felt like close companions during a 4 week hospital stay on bedrest with my twin boys (with a possible 8 more weeks ahead). Looks like we’ll get through a lot of these book recommendations 😂

A MUST READ for every multiples parent!
I am a mother to triplets, and I am now recommending this book as a MUST read to every multiples parent I connect with! I gained so much insight into my children’s possible experiences as a multiple. It’s definitely helped me adjust my parenting in some areas, and I think my children will be so much better for it!! The mix of personal stories and academic research is perfect. I literally think my triplets will be better adjusted adults because I read this book. I wish there were six stars!

Beautifully written book that helped me to better understand the psychology behind triplets and how to better raise them. I highly recommend this book to all parents and friends of triplets- it will give you a realistic point-of-view of what it’s like growing up as a triplet as well as a plethora of statistics and studies to back it up.

Entertaining, Educational
As someone who romanticized twins (especially identical ones) growing up, I was both excited and terrified to discover we were expecting twins! This book made me laugh and gave me A LOT to think about. Thank you for sharing your life and compiling research in such an easy-to-read way.

A true gift
Such a gift as a mother to identical triplet girls to have this book. This is the insight I have sought out over and over and could never find. Now to go on and do my girls justice, and try my best to shift the perspective and break the misconceptions surrounding identical multiples.

Worthwhile Read!!
I received an advance reader copy of this book. What a pleasure! As a mom of triplet 13 year old daughters, I could identify over and over with the heartfelt, honest and funny experiences of this author. This book gives everyone permission to feel human, whether you are a multiple or a parent of multiples. The honest accounts of the pros and cons of being a multiple, the struggles of parents to always manage daily situations well - are shared in this book. I both laughed and cried at some of the common experiences between my family and the author's family. Truly uplifitng!! Whether you are expecting multiples or are a multiple yourself, this is a must read! - Holly S.

Amazing read!!!
I received an advance reading copy of this book for free. For anyone who is a multiple or a parent of a multiple it is a must read! Even if your not a multiple or a parent of a multiple it is a great read! So many times I kept saying that has happened to us with our identical triplet daughters who are 2 1/2 years old or we experienced those same things as well. We will be giving each of our daughters a copy of this amazing book!

Great book for any parent of a multiple or any one that is a multiple themselves.
I recieved an advance copy of this book for free. It is well worth it! I am the mother of fraternal triplets and was not really sure what, if anything, I would get from a book about identicals. There was plenty for me though. Her stories are entertaining. There were several "ah-ha" moments, moments of nodding in agreement, and reassurance that I just might be doing something right.

A breath of fresh air!
I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so after buying this book.My twins are 9 months old and I wish I had read this book before they were born. It's funny, honest (brutally so in places!) and relatable, if you're a parent of multiples. I'm only on chapter 4 but it's like a breath of fresh air. To know that I'm doing ok at this, to know my girls are doing ok and to know that in the end, everyone is winging it, is perhaps the most consoling thing in the world. This book has completely changed my outlook on parenting and life...And I've not even finished it yet!Could not recommend this book highly enough, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Must read for parents of multiples
I loved Karis insights into the life of being an identical triplet! This book should be a must read for parents of multiples as it gives you a first hand account and an “inside perspective”, distinguishing it greatly from books written by “just” parents of multiples. Not only very informative and eye-opening, backed by different studies and researches, but also very entertaining and a great read (also for sleep-deprived new parents). I loved how she is very specific and practical with her advices, underlining them with realistic examples, yet being very gentle and not giving parents the feeling of being a total failure. As a newly mom of triplet girls it opened my eyes to issues that I would not have thought about otherwise. Thanks Kari!

Excellent book!
I saw this book advertised on social media and was skeptical due to the large amount of books written that are just another story of the challenges of multiples. However how wrong i was, this book provides an extraordinary amount of insights to topics many MB authors do not even mention. It is interesting to read, funny and contains so much wisdom about multiples. As a mother of triplets and someone who is researching Multiples educational needs i have found this book to be a total blessing and a definite must read for anyone interested in Multiples. The amount of work and love that has gone into it is inspiring. Thank you xxx

Highly recommended to parents of multiples
I’m due to have twins in a couple of months and I’m so glad I read this while pregnant. The insight into what it was like for Kari growing up as a multiple, peppered with research really made me think about how I’d like to try to parent. Firstly, by returning the matching babygrows!
