Surprisingly... it helps with my chronic insomnia. Obviously doesn’t cure it let’s be realistic here but it does help me fall asleep faster. At first it is uncomfortable to lay on now I can sleep with it under me all night! Also helps with my back pain. Amazing non pharmacological intervention for sleep and pain!

Although at first I was acutely aware of the sharpness of the mat, once I relaxed I really enjoyed it. I use it at least once a day and completely zone out. I’m not sure how much it contributes to decreasing my back ache but think it does and it definitely helps me to have “time out”. I particularly enjoy the neck pillow.

One of my roommates had the "Bed of Nails" original version of this mat and it did wonders for me when I was having a lot of inflammation. A couple years later I wanted one of my own, but wasn't ready for the high cost options. I've been very satisfied with this version- my impression is that it is slightly less prickly, especially through clothing, but that it gets the job done, is durable enough, and cost is reasonable
