As a professional illustrator and designer, I'm constantly sketching things, taking notes or mocking up a webpage in my notebook for work. These pens write smoothly and allow me to quickly get the information down out of my brain onto a piece of paper. I have explored the world of ultra-high-quality pens and pencils, and though my favorite mechanical pencil costs more than $40, I haven't found a rolling ball pen that rivals these that are worth the cost difference.Use with a Leuchtturm 1917 dot-grid notebook, so the paper is higher quality than typical 20lb bond printer paper. No bleed, only smudging happens if you swipe across immediately after writing. Haven't noticed fading over time, and I have notebooks that are more than 10 years old with this ink in them.

I love this pen. Extra fine is perfect for me in making precise letters. There are never any blobs on my paper. I truly love this pen!!!

I like pens with fine points. These are inexpensive and last extremely long. I don’t write all day but journal everyday and use them for studying. Whether it be language or musical study’s. I can write small with these as well. I’ll dries fast which is a plus but will smear if you wipe it right after you write or your hand drags along the paper.

Great pens..but came busted...half were broken and ink leaked all over..used these pens many times as a teacher..pens are great..but the pens I received were damaged..

I've been using Pilot pens practically since they were invented, and the V5 roller ball is my favorite model. I write very small and these extra-fine-point are always legible, dry instantly, and don't smear. I buy them by the carton and Amazon's price beats out everyone else's.

These have been around a long time and for a good reason. They are simply the best you can get if you enjoy writing. Still made in Japan after all these years and still awesome.

I'm particular about pens. These ones are great. Fine point and smooth. You can't beat the price.
