I covered an inclined dog ramp with it to give them better traction. Not really working out

Not as grippy as I was expecting..it's made of shredded rubber that's been squeezed and cooked all together; It's not soft. I am not using the pad for it's intended purpose; I covered an inclined dog ramp with it to give them better traction. Not really working out,though. Great price through Amazon, and used as a trailer protecting pad, it should work just fine.
